Great idea!
Definitely one of those, "Now why didn't I think of that?" moments. :)

Great idea!
Definitely one of those, "Now why didn't I think of that?" moments. :)
Catalyst SOLD
I've owned my Hyperlite for just over five years now and I have no complaints, but last spring I was enticed by the Eno Sub 7. Having sipped the cool aid from the ultra-light cup, I was eager to...
Price dropped to $160 on the Catalyst.
What a great design!
Great looking tarp!
Hammock/tarp have been sold.
Correction on the Catalyst, it is a small torso, but large belt. It's not new, but I can't remember ever using it and the pictures don't do it justice. Up close, the...
BMBH is sold pending payment.
I'll take the BIAS Nano Buginator. PM me with payment instructions.
p.s. does it come with the stuff sack?
ULA Catalyst Backpack with a small torso and large belt. Pack is in excellent condition. $170US.
Jacks 'R' Better Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock. New/Never used. $160US. SOLD
Jacks 'R' Better 11x10...
I was told to look for 1443R (Style 14M), because 14M is more water resistant than other 1443R Tyvek. Can anyone confirm this?
I concur. Easier to use zing it and a couple Dutch Tarp Flyz IMHO.
With a full-length UQ, I have a fixed length of shock cord for each end. One end of the shock cord is attached directly to the UQ loop and the other end is attached to a mini-carabiner. I just slide...
I'm 5'8" and I prefer a full length, because my feet get cold easily, but I'm confident that a 3/4 would be fine in temps above 40F.
I have four JRB Quilts. A Winters Nest, a Shenandoah, and two Hudson River. They work well fall through spring, but they are far too warm for summer use.
I looked at the Snugpak and the price is right, but 46.5oz is a bit too heavy for me.
I use a regular garment bag, but only for long term storage (2 months or more). Otherwise, I have a large bin that I keep my "ready" gear in and just toss them on top.
Thanks for the link, this was very helpful.
I have a brand new BMBH (Deluxe), that I purchased awhile back for my wife, but it has never been used once. $160 shipped CONUS.
Where is this chart? I couldn't find it.
I own eight...which is probably too many since I've never used several of them.

I received the Sub7 a couple days early. I refitted the Sub7 with a whoopie hook suspension from Dutchware. The Sub7, whoopie slings w/hooks, tree huggers, and Dutch clips...total weight 9 oz. The...
The Eno Sub7 is small, but it's not too small. It is actually a wee bit larger than my Hennessy Hyperlite.
I fitted out the Sub7 with a whoopie hook suspension from Dutchware. The Sub7, whoopie...
I watched RevHiker's video review of the Sub7 and I got excited. However, that enthusiasm was tempered by all the negative comments about it's diminutive size, so I was initially hesitant to purchase...
Hamacas Taino Hammocks now has a new ultra light version. Instead of the single webbing suspension, it has a short loop that allows you to use your suspension of choice.
Stumbled upon this hammock just a few weeks ago. I thought it was pretty interesting and for $45US (Less P&H) I figured why not. Here is a little clip of my first impressions, followed by the...
Found a Catalyst instead, no longer looking.
Feel free to close this thread.
Thanks! :)
I'll take the Catalyst...pm sent. :)
PM sent on the Catalyst.
Give it up man! ;)
Shot in the dark, but I'm looking for a ULA CDT or Ohm. :)
Old JRB model (Camel color).
Thanks! :)
I have one of the original Weather Shields and I was wondering, if I hung over the outside of my Winters Nest, would it provide any additional warmth in really cold weather?
Anyone ever tried an UQ with a Pad combination?
I purchased a BMBH for my wife and I was thinking that adding a Thermarest Prolite pad to the setup, might provide some additional comfort. What...
PM sent...if it hasn't sold already. :)
I'm interested, but the "gift option only" is a major deterrent. Would you consider another, more secure, form of payment?
Which model?
I have two zippered Scouts (for my kids) and a Hyperlite for myself. I would have no worries about sleeping in the Scout, but it isn't an asym hammock and I don't think it would be as comfortable...
I bought a Jeff's pack cover/gear hammock from JRB's. Works great and a fantastic multi-tasker. Pack cover, gear hammock, catch or carry water, wash basin, etc...good price too! :)
Pan demonstrated the JRB suspension to me and I thought it was pretty cool, but I'm still a little hesitant to mod my stock Hennessy. Why did you finally make the switch?
I'll take it. PM sent.
If the weathershield is still available, I'll take it, just PM with the details for payment. :)
Is it green?

My decision to get off the ground was really pretty simple. I just got tired of sleeping on uneven, rocky, terrain all the time. :)
Congrats! Of course, that means you'll both likely be busier than ever. You know what they say, "No good deed goes unpunished!" :)
UPDATE: The Backyard Field Report
Last weekend was a no hang weekend, as I was on a “Family” camping trip, which gave me a reason drag out the Big Agnes Big House 6. With the vestibule, this tent is...
After five consecutive nights in my HH, I was tired of fussing with pads and really tired of the ever present cold spots. So, I purchased a Winter Nest UQ & Hudson River TQ from Jacks-R-Better...
I like to hike solo, but camp with friends.
I prefer to hike solo, mostly because I like to go at my own pace. However, as a stay at home dad, I don't get much adult interaction these days....
