I like your setup daneaustin3, what did you use for the boom?
hey everyone, I've been away for a bit, as the title says I'm looking for the easiest stand to make and carry, since most camping sites near my place have few trees to hang from, I'd like to make a...
I might be able to make it this year

they look pretty simple and light enough
bienvenue dans le club, il y a plein d'info sur le site, amuse toi bien :D
I'm going to try forestay to mast, just not sure if I'll have enough length to properly hang
she's a real beauty :)
anyone ever hang a hammock from a sailboat?
if so how did you do it?
I just bought a 23' sailboat and I'm looking for ways to hang my hammock when at anchor
so where are those crown lands exactly
I'm still trying to see if I can make it or not
chenvre if I do go we could split gas and take my car
seing as were close by
I second titanium hiker's idea about looser socks, either get some thick quality wool socks, adding a liner sock also helps, you could try neoprene socks, really warm but it will trap your sweat...
I'm in... happy halloween everyone
good luck guys, were supposed to get some of it by late tuesday or later
stay safe, happy hanging
I might be in, [I]if you accept me[I] lol I'll have to check it is a 6 hour drive for me, but I'd finally get to meet some of you guys :)

Hey from across the river!!! :D
all I can think you might need to start is a bug net (M.E.C. has some in store for the portec) or easy to DIY (Hennessey Hammock clone)
see you out there!!!
welcome from gatineau qc
how big of a tear? small ones can easily be hand sewn with an invisible stitch, which as the name implies, will not be visible if done properly, easy to do, you just need a needle and some thread ;)...
send Hennessey an Email with the pic and they'll probably send you another one!!!
welcome to the fun!!!
where are you in ontario?
welcome to the party, bienvenue à la fête, on s'amuse come des fous!!!
love that answer
o.k., I see what your looking for, basically a SPE. :)
easy to make your own if your into diy.
and yes it will work in any types of hammock :D
just do a quick search for SPE or segmented pad...

I use a bishop bag AND different color woopies, but since I dont have much time to get out, I always forget which is which!
Imo don't glue them sides, heat seal the edges, enjoy the hammock and when you have access to a thread injector, hem the sides and continue enjoying the hammock!!!
To store them and to pack them is a totally different thing, to store just put them in a loose sac ( think pillow case ) and to pack them, just put them in your pack ( in a garbage or trash compactor...

I want to make my 5yo son a hammock for his bedroom, I don't really have the room for a full size one, so I'm wondering what size fabric should I start with
