It's Funny how 8+ miles is not considered part of the AT I guess it's a Peak to Peak thing but unless you start at the FS road you have to hike the 8 miles to get there.

I think you will find a vast amount of useful information on HF for every aspect of Hammocking.
It sounds like it's going to be a Epic hang.

On the serious side isint air itself a good insulator you should have a good 8 to 12 inches of air space from the cold ground.
