5 of the most reliable people that always come to my Hangs and help and support me have giant conflicts that have popped up. Being that no one has really voiced a for sure yes or no at this point I...
Having used and owned all three brands (HH, DH and WB) I personally still prefer my Explorer UL with ZQ mod the most. That being said that particular hammock would probably not suit your size well....
I might have to hit that one in the late summer/fall.. been wanting to check it out. Next up for me will be Enchanted Valley though
I just got a set from Warbonnet so you can order them here: https://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/product/1-buckle-set/

Olympics and Rainier have good options.
It is a few hours away but a few Portland peeps come out... Everyone is welcome.
What Ironfish said is key. In recent years Bigfoot and Myself had set most of the bigger ones up and the more choices you give people the harder it ends up being. Just figure out a good weekend that...
There are quite of few in that area.. (I used to be) they are just being quiet. Its seams to have slowed down over the past year or two..
Birthday Present ordered.. Tentsile Stingray on the way, cause well I wanted a tree fort:)
That was part of my thinking with the date.. I know kids around here start on Sept 7th
For you crazy Seahawk Fans: That is also the 12's Fan Fest weekend in Ocean Shores..
So you could save some money on Hotels and just day trip it if interested.

Was a nice hang with a total of 10 people, very low key relaxing weekend. Weather was perfect, very light rain early Sunday but was hot and sunny by breakfast. We all went out for dinner on Saturday...

I have a few others interested I will talk to them about locking a date on second half of May
At last years hang everyone talked about doing a work weekend up at the coastal property to clear even more hang areas. If people are still interested, how does May sound? We would set up a cook tent...
thats a tough weekend for me but I will see what I can do.
Normally we had this planned right after the Summer Hang... Going to be interesting
Maybe, but my schedule is pretty nuts at the moment.
Agreed, my experience as well.. Pick the weekend in feb that best suits you.. How bout the first or second one?
I have been hoping for a good weekend to do a short trip to the HOH rainforest. But lately the weekends have been overly wet and windy. But I may be game depending on when and how life plays out.

How is it to early? We have ALWAYS had snow on that date. Last year a week later till basically now there was nothing up there. There is nothing we can...
Quilts seem to hold there value very well, to the point I would rather just buy it retail for a few dollars more. Sometimes you will see a good deal on here but usually its a saving of less that $50....
I am sure a couple smaller trips on Rainier will happen this winter.
Where bout on East Coast? Rainier has lots of good hiking/Hanging as well as the Olympic Pen. I am sure there are lots that are a bit closer to you but I am not familiar. Quite a few hangers in your...
Very Cool.. never been hiking over there.
Just a bit of info that resulted in why we chose the time period in previous years that we did.
1. Snow was decently reliable (yes weather has been nuts the past 2 years) The weather is going to...
On Mt hood in Oregon not Washington.
Good to know about HWY 97 have not traveled it in the winter.
To me the bigger issue is that going to Bend would add about 2 more hours of winter travel time for 90% of people that have been...
Might still but you might lose a few regulars that come from the north adding a few more hours to their trip in the winter. The passes can be hairy some winters, I-5 and 26 are always well maintained.
Ill keep an eye on that.. planning on hitting Enchanted Valley next weekend. The fires this year are crazy!
Hoh rain forest and Enchanted Valley are never bad
It might be the one I pulled from the trailer (spoon) for the blackberry meal..
I handed the hammock to you myself and Kayt has your cooler. We did a walk through and nothing was left on site...
