Thanks Florida hanger, in MI we normally have plenty of snow..plus a superfly tarp can be staked out to the ground with doors shut providing a similar wind protection to a sock...probably a bit more...

Wouldn't a tarp (say superfly with doors) provide the same wind busting effect of a sock? I'm trying to understand the value of the sock...I love the concept, but with a tarp I'm not sure I get it. ...

What's the benefit of the sock over the winter cover that you can get on the XLC? Love that multicam.

Either way, great tarp..I love my SF, have always wondered if it was overkill, as the doors are primary tied back most of the time.
