Great stuff, per usual, Rob! Keep them coming.
Anytime Lat. Glad to help out if I can.
Is there anyway to purchase just the toggles and aluminum ends? Would like to experiment with spliced dogbones instead of shock cord.
I went with a 20 degree and extra ounce in the footbox. I also have it paired with a three season Jarbidge. Works great in exactly the situations you described. Heck I use it in the summer...
If anyone backs out I'd gladly take a hank of either color.
20* with 2 oz overstuff in the foot box because I use a 3/4 underquilt. I also got the sewn foot box so there are no drafts. I used it in September with no problems, just pull a leg out.
Thanks for the info, Dutch.
Dutch, any chance of zipper coil hitting the shelves of Dutchwear DIY Heaven in the next few weeks? Need to finish my DIY Integrated Bugnet.
Thanks Paul, good to know. Now I just need to decided on whether to get a 12 Hanger or 12 WD. Not easy to decide.
If someone wanted could they still get the plastic "beastie" d-rings? Would that be a special order?
Great stuf GG! Has me definitely thinking of spring.
Same as Zoo here. I started with 4 yards of fabric and created 3" channels on each end which uses a bit over 6" of fabric on each end once hemmed and doubled over. So you end up with an 11 footer...
September rocks in the Dacks!
Thank so much Alex, that definitely cleared up how I though you made it. I would think that a micro carabiner would work also. A bit heavier than the mitten hook but might clip on and off the...
Alex, you've been super generous with your design and it is much appreciated. If it's possible and you feel its not revealing too much, can you please post a picture of the bottom end connections. ...
I just think it's crazy to expect the beginner to have all the knowledge about the industry and cottage vendors before they even buy something to sit and have a beer in, which is exactly what ENO...
Well most of us start somewhere and for me it was with ENO. I think it's important to recognize their importance that way. My only complaint now would be that the hammocks are usually too short for...
MB, I have a Noah 12 and its a 12x12 square with about a 16 foot diagonal. I use it with an 11 foot hammock that has a 120" ridgeline. It leaves me a foot on either end for overhang when set up as...
Love the design, Alex! Would love to try that myself and it's very generous of you to share it. No problem with bugs collecting in the open bottom ends? Is the hammock tight enough on those ends...
Thanks a bunch guys! I already have a Fronkey bug net with my current hammock and like it a lot. Just bought that an integrated looks a bunch cleaner and more streamlined. But you make some good...
I'm thinking of making an 11 foot hammock with a zippered bugnet and was wondering about how much no-seeum netting most of you out there typically use for it? Also what size zipper and about how...
Got it guys. Thanks much for the information. And Kyle thank you for the specific response. I absolutely love this community of people. Ask and you will receive.
Are these two fabrics the same, but different names? One is from RSBTR and the other is from Dutch.
Rub a few dryer sheets all over the inside and outside and the static will vanish or throw it in the dryer with a few sheets.
Love mine. Heavy but inexpensive and near bomb proof. I trust the PU coated polyester way more than silnylon but it comes with a much heavier cost. But unless you are thru hiking or piling on...
Thanks for the info Dutch. Much appreciated.
I typically use 1/8" Amstel for suspension. I suppose it just makes me sleep easier knowing I have overkill in the weight rating. Anywho, do the whoopie hooks work with that size or just 7/64"?...
Thanks guys much appreciated.
I'm looking at joining the TurtleDog ranks and build my first stand. I have an 11 foot hammock with a 10 ft. ridgeline. I know that most of you use the 10'6" chainlink fence top rails, cut in half...
A pressure treated 4x6 embedded in concrete will be perfect. I suggest that the concrete and post extend below frost depth. This will vary from place to place across the country but here in Buffalo...
I-Hang, I don't see a picture of the Bushmans Shirt. Which one is it?
I'm liking this a lot. I think a DIY project with RSBTR's new silnylon Multicam might work perfectly.
Thanks for sharing Chris. Love the 'Dacks! One of my favorite places on Earth.
Can these be used with 1/8 Amsteel, or just 7/16?
Thanks Paul. Thought is might be a different cut. I love mine the way it is, but perhaps a second quilt may be in my future. You can never have too much UGQ gear!
Can the new foot ox be retrofitted to an existing Flight Jacket?
Wow this looks awesome! Could this be done for an already produced sewn flat seam? I love my Flight Jacket the way it is but this could make it even better.
How was the event? Any pics or video? I'm sure that boil was tasty!
I wish I could. Was very disappointed when I saw the date, because I had plans already. I hope you guys have fun and take some video, I'm sure you will. Sausages for everyone! Enjoy.
Love me some Shug videos! Glad you were able to get back in the hammock buddy. Definitely like the extended setup portion, love to see you describe the gritty details. Can't wait for the next...
I hear ya! Just used my 20* Flight Jacket last weekend and I don't think it got below 60 at night. I had it only half way on but it was cozy. Top quilt / underquilt is definitely the setup for...
Why not just do what you did at the guyout points and create an attachment of Zing It and some Dutchwear or Figure Nine?
Amazing deal in my mind if you are on the short side or for the wife. It's too short for me so I started making my own. But I like the ENO products on a whole and wouldn't let that deal by otherwise.
Based upon this weekends hanging, a 20* Flight Jacket is worth every penny I paid for it.
UGQ! Rules! Using my 20* Flight Jacket this weekend and it is oh so toasty!
Pics as promised.
My 20 degree Flight Jacket arrived yesterday and wow is it awesome! It was actually here on Saturday but I wasn't home to sign for it. That's less than two weeks from order placed to waiting at the...
Well done Eliska. Looks like a DIY Bug net will be on your short list. What about insulation?
Thanks Silent, Much appreciated! Now to place an order.
