FWIW, you don't want to scoot so far back that you are as straight as being on a kitcken chair.... then your head...

The seams in the bottom/side of the JRB Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock are fully double lapped and double needle sewn with tex 90 waxed poly thread.... they are not comming apart...
