I think you are right!
Well darn it - I guess that means there is unlikely to be a spot.
Well Hello from Irmo SC!
Hello,
I am looking for a hammock camping friendly place to spend the night near one of my favorite fishing spots. Anything near Lake Logan in NC that folks would like to reccomend?
thanks!

Everybody loves dutchware!
Keith
Amsteel is, but after minimal practice you can splice any of them with ease. I am no pro and I can do it, so it is safe to say that a half trained chimp could too.

I have used Zing-it, which is 1.75 I believe and Dynaglide in both bright green and Orange. They splice great and are nice lines but I am A) almost out and B) looking for something with less visual...
Can't wait to get my order! And thanks for the discount!
Keith
And it came in - two days, across country. I has some splicin' to do!
Fishing?

Inclement weather creates an urge to have french toast in humans, well known phenomenon. ;)
Keith
Missed it! Congrats to the winner!
Same here, my sons hammock if an ENO and it works perfectly.

Did someone say Funk? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f2/GeorgeClinton.jpg/450px-GeorgeClinton.jpg
You get around! I love Martha's Vinyard - especially if you get away from the towns the ferry's dock at.
I was looking up stuff on the Bush Craft USA Forum and someone posts a link to, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it: Shug's videos. I watched them, Chuckled a lot, thought he made a heck of a lot...
Nah - tapatalk is fine and there are many forums that use it so you get it once and off you go.
Keith
I am interested but I have no idea if I can make it yet.
Columbia Here - welcome to the forum.
Why? Who needs the definitions/ You carry the number of grams you carry, regardless of some arbitrary weight designation.
Keith
The bug thing we have covered, we've lived in Columbia for >10 years now so the heat and skeeters thing is old hat (though i appreciate the warning).
Any specifics on good camp sites and so...
Hi all,
I am hoping to take my 7 year old to the swamp for his first hang and was wondering if anyone who may have hung there might have any specific pointers, directions to a good spots to hang,...
What is the lightest option for a bugnet on an ENO? My son and I are heading out this Friday and my hammock has a bug net, I still need to get one for his.
thanks for any thoughts on this,
...
Buy one in girly colors and tell him it's his, then after the shock and entertainment value has run it's course, give that one to mom and hand him his BB.
Got mine, excellent packing and speedy shipping. Thanks!
Keith
I got a set from her recently - she is fast with the sewing and super nice to deal with. If you want some snakeskins, she is definitely a recommended source!
Keith
Looks like a great trip weather notwithstanding. Thanks for posting.
Folks seem a little put off by the idea of the kickstart. I find that odd considering how many people jumped onto the Backcountry Boiler Kickstart. http://www.theboilerwerks.com/
This thread...
If that is how trail names are given out, my sons name is "Are We There Yet". Glad to hear he is having a good experience.
That redbird was cool.
Keith
Got my stuff today - Thanks!
Can't wait to set it up for the little one.
Keith
I dunno why but this seemed counter intuitive at first . . . then I caught on. :shades:
Keith
What awesome scenery - fantastic place to hike. Thanks for sharing.
Keith
Anywhere you need some extra insulation.
Wine bottle cozy - only to keep the stuff chilled not warm.
I am thinking of experimenting with it for small batches of ribs a la the "cooler ribs"...
I would like to get some webbing like the stuff that came with my Warbonnet - any ideas as to a source?
I can find webbing - but there is a bunch of different options and I was hoping to avoid...
Definitely can cause SAS. However, being a hammock hanger you have something more comfortable than the traditional doghouse to be banished to.
Keith
I have some of these I picked up from Dicks - the ends are not rough not are there loose fibers to get splinter from. I did smooth them a smidgen with the file on my leatherman, but that was because...
If visibly affected it should be dead very very soon.
Keith
That thing is awesome PF! I like the all in one storage.
Keith
I just weighed one of these, 1.6536 grams.
Keith
thanks guys - these things have almost zero weight to them.
Keith
I stopped by Dicks after I saw someone mention this as a way to get my hands on some toggles and while they didn't have any aluminum toggles the nice folks there gave be a fistful of carbon fiber...
Terrific video, what an awesome area to explore and relax.
Keith
Mast General Stores has it.
Keith
How long are most folks making the guy lines for their tarps? I have a superfly on the way and a bunch of Zing-it staring at me and I would love to be ready to pitch the thing on arrival.
thanks...
LOL - nope just the one, and I already cashed it in by ordering a superfly! Can't wait till it gets here!
Keith
My lovely bride knows I am looking for a tarp (probably a superfly) and gave me a "Gift Certificate" to buy the one I want. She is creative, even stole some of my zing-it to make the thing.

I was looking at these fabrics on Ebay. Would something like this be a good fabric to make gathered end hammocks from?
...
I would like to be added to the map
Irmo, SC, 29212

Keith
