Nice tutorial, interesting option defiantly easier than the diamond knot. That break in the look has me a little concerned though even at the rate or 230%.

What are you referring to? Is the information on the site incorrect? I have checked the link and it works on my end.
I find I keep checking to make sure that I get a sturdy hammock since I'm around 325lbs and I would hit the ground harder than I would like. xxl_hangers link works but this one from the same site has...
This design seems kinda interesting. Maybe I'm missing something, but if there is a failure in one area doesn't that ruin the whole system requiring a full replacement?
I think this goes here. So if using Amsteel for suspension with 7/64 whoopie sling with 320 lb working load does that mean that a person weighing >320 lbs should go up to 1/8. If I remember my...
Made a few whoopie slings now including an adjustable ridge line. Each time I make one I find my self coming back here for a refresher or reference on measurements. Thanks.
Thanks for the info. I have been playing with whoopie slings for a bit but had not seen the UCR.
I thought I posted an introduction a while back but I don't see it, nor have been here in a while so it is probably worth posting anyway.

Lol, sorry to laugh at your story but it looked like mine only it was a Hennessy Hammock and the ridge line. I don't want to put the blame on HH and I'm sure the hangers would like a laugh. I hung my...

just ordered 150' of 1/8" glad to have off any amount

I am looking to make a poncho that I can use while riding a bike. I know that the silnylon is water proof for the purpose of tarps where nothing should touch it but is there any light weight material...
