Always enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing.
I also really love the new logo...very clever and clean looking!
Nice job! Looked like a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the video and all the commentary.

Thanks, guys. The shoe organizer is definitely an interesting idea.
So I'm curious how you folks store your quilt when not in use. I've read where many of you say you hang it in a closet. How exactly do you hang it? Do you fold it over and put it through the hanger...
What a great looking underquilt! You did an awesome job on this! Thanks for posting all the pics along the way.
Nice quilt. If I hadn't just purchased one from HG I'd have been all over this!
Love the ribbon choice! Will definitely be a one of a kind when you're done with it!
Very nice stand! Any idea how much the whole thing weighs?
Looking great so far! Can't wait to seem more pictures of the process and the finished product!
Great deal, redbeard!
What is the color of the underquilt?
Do you have any pictures of it set up?
Also, is this the argon fabric?
Is this the standard length?
Thanks! I was curious how others made that connection to the tarp.
Thanks for all the insight, guys. I may play around with a continuous tarp ridgeline at some point just to see if I like it (need to get some more line first). I think for the time being, though, I'm...
Thinking about getting a set of Tarp Flyz to make hanging my tarp a little easier. Came across this thread as I was searching for an answer to a question I had about how to use them.
I plan to run...
I talked to Adam from HammockGear on the phone the other day. He was really great about addressing all the questions that I had about my new under quilt. In the end I've decided to have Adam make me...
I can tell that the baffles are a little thicker on what must be the head end. The suspension hooks are also colored differently I assumed to indicate which is the head end and which is the foot end....
What is this "leg shelf" you mention? Is that just a design feature built into their under quilts?...or something that goes inside the hammock?
Sorry if this is a silly question. I'm still trying...
Good call...I hope you're not speaking from experience :)
Great tip. Got a few really cold nights coming up the next few days...I'll definitely be giving this a try.
Thanks dakotaross. Sounds like upgrading to a full length quilt probably won't solve my problem then. I guess I'll just have to throw a hothands packet or a hot water bottle down at the bottom of my...
Ended up building a nice hammock stand thanks to those that have contributed instructions to to the DIY forum and got the hammock out in the back yard the other night to test out the under quilt.

Woohoo! My wife surprised me for Christmas and got me a 20* HG Phoenix. Can't wait to get out and use it. Don't have any trees in the back yard, so I might just have to make myself a hammock stand so...
Very kind of you...count me in, please!
Count me in!!
I did experience the pad sliding around a couple of times. May try putting some kind of rubber dots or something on the bottom of the pad and see if that helps hold it in place.
I recently experimented with putting a self-inflating pad between the two layers of my WBBB and found it to be very comfortable. I was also very pleased with how warm it kept me (no underquilt). The...
I'll take the stoic 700 ti pot
What is the temperature rating on the quilt?
I just got a superfly a month or so ago and absolutely love mine. It's a great tarp!
Do you have any pictures you can post?

I'll take it. I'll PM you my mailing address. Thanks!
Thanks! Gotta love Photoshop!
Sorry, I'm taking the 8.5 x 8.5 tarp. I've edited my original post. Sorry for the confusion.
I'll take the stansport cooksest and the 8.5' x 8.5' tarp.

Sorry, Bubba, I didn't look close enough to see where you were located.
If you have a Harbor Freight nearby you can get a set of two 1" x 12' lashing straps for $3.99. Just cut the cambuckle off the end and you have a 12' piece of webbing with a loop already sewn in one...
I just went to Harbor Freight today and got a set of two 1" x 12' lashing straps for $3.99. Going to cut the cambuckles off and use the existing loops. It says the working load is 330lbs...not sure...
Count me in! Thanks!
Great info! Thanks, Mouseskowitz!
If I were to get my own webbing and sew my own loops, do I need to use a particular thread type?
