raise the straps, i know how the chameleon feels when it is right, this was just an odd event, situation. as i lie there i realized i had to go higher, i was already outstretching my 6 ft. height....
ok, so i usually like to step off 5 steps for tree distance, but last week i had a span that was farther apart. i rigged up the chameleon and the ridge line was a bit too tight, and i noticed the...
just spent a week up north, chameleon was very cozy.
for most of us who have been in a hammock for a few years, we lie as we are comfortable, and move or shift our leg positions during the night. for this topic i would like to hear what your experience...
after another trial, i just loosened my uq, used the uq hooks on the chameleon, and it worked fine. i had the uq cinched up too tight.
my loco libre uq get's in the way of my side pullouts on my hammock, i like spreading the hammock, what do you do?
i will just not use them.
thanks dutch, happy holidays, my gear closet has some very nice hammock gear from you.
just want to see if anyone here had one lying around, not in use anymore. i have a chameleon. thanks
great discussion. even with good hangs in my eno on the front porch, and the diy in the back gardens without a ridgeline, i do not plan on removing it off my chameleon.
this has been talked about before i imagine, if the ridge line was removed, and you were not going to use a bug net, would the hammock lie better, worse, different?
would there be any advantage to...
i've got mine working now to my liking. great video shug, thanks, not as easy as a buckle, i have enough gear.
i received the beetles on my straps for the chameleon i have, but i am thinking of going back to the ti buckles, due to they are easier to adjust length of straps for me. the beetles will work, but...
i like the V with stingerz. doesn't get any easier.
the V for me. dutch line and stingers, love those things!
that is so awesome dutch for you to care for your staff like that. pat's on the back to you!
1.6 all the way, i love mine, it feels strong!i am 185 btw.

man, this uq IS a thing of beauty. fit's the chameleon like a glove, and offers toasty warmth. thanks george and crew, well worth the wait! very happy hammock camper!
received email today, my series saver uq is on the way. thanks george.
i had the net-less, and fronkey, liked it, but went with the chameleon and attached bug net. love it. such a cleaner set-up. my old gear is making someone else very happy. thanks dutch!
standard chameleon here, no calf ridge, had it with the hennessy, and warbonnet.
ordered my series saver's 30 degree uq nov. 4th, at 11 below zero here this am, it will be a while before i can use it, but looking forward to it, i could hang in the garage when it comes. happy new...

hi deb, sorry, back from thanksgiving. yes items ship, trade done. please remove, thanks.
hi bill, yes that will work.
ok deb, sorry.
hi bill, yes interested, email sent.
I have a wm summerlite bag in excellent condition, with stuff sack, stored loose, no smoking or pets, barely used. it has the 30 degree rating. i would like to trade for a 30 degree, DOWN top quilt....
thanks shug, i was up on the temperance river campground for one night, on the way home from a bwca solo trip early october, hiking a bit and thought of you and your journeys. thks for the continued...
i own a few very nice sleeping bags that one, could be converted to a top quilt. i would just cut off the zipper and sew up the bottom. leaving the zippers on, concern me for puncturing, or possibly...
got a 30 degree on the way, unreal price on these beautiful down uq's. merry xmas me!
have you noticed any down escaping from the holes after taking out the long seams?
my ahe gear works just fine, white cloud top quilt, jarbidge uq. the uq hooks on the chameleon neatly tuck the uq suspension out of the way.
what does "pretty good shape" mean? any problems with it? thks.
mine packs nicely in the stuff sack it came with. i have another smaller sack for the straps and bettles.
thanks all.
my friend has an eno. what is the correct way to measure the length of a ridgeline, to install, so he can use a fronkey bugnet? thanks.
no dislikes, the best comfort yet. awesome hammock.
