DIYed some poles from China (eBay) / homemade dogbones (supplies from Dutchware)
Poles are 54.5" (fold down to 12.5") / Dogbones are 10" as they go over my CRL
...

I just discovered that I lost the mid section (the short part) of the head end spreader bar on my ridgerunner.
I live in Switzerland and I'm heading out in a few days and wanted to bring the RR....
I used my superfly a couple of times in pretty sustained rain and all good but when I used it with the pullouts it started leaking very very quickly, so seam seal it is

a few weeks ago I was on a moto camping trip and slept in my RR with the full length 3 season lynx and an EE 20F TQ. I fell asleep to a massive rain storm and 35F, when I woke up 8 hrs later...
I have the DD UQ and have been down to 3°C . firstly I'm a cold sleeper, secondly I didn't spend anytime making sure there was a super snug fit and I was nice and warm so am assuming you can take it...
Brilliant stuff, was also having a hard time justifying $75 + shipping + import taxes.

I ordered a DL Ridgerunner and a 3 season full length Lynx UQ on 02/11 and it shipped yesterday 02/19 so pretty impressed with an 8 day turnaround :thumbup:

agreed really no noticeable difference between 1500 and 2000. as a more extreme example the HH (hydrostatic head) of an MSR Hubba tent is something like 1200 and it seems US tents have lower HH...

have pretty much the same setup and the ability to just slide the tarp along the RL makes it so much easier to get the correct coverage over the hammock, granted I am a lazy man....

I used an old hiking pole, just cut them to be 4 or 5 inches long, drilled a small hole at one end to put a bit of string through so as not to lose them.
took the whole of 5 minutes. have used them...
