Well, we all had a fun time not doing Black Friday shopping! @datahiker and @deerless showed up, along with Mark and myself and our two daughters. The hike in was a little damp, but the site itself...
Ok, doing an update to the thread. The ranger suggests that the official FLT Lean-To would be drier and more comfortable (it's on a small hill and has a privy) option than the blue-blazed one that I...
ok, got the permit from the park. Can everyone who's coming IM me, the park would like this information:
Who's coming (first name, last name)
Make/Model/Color/License Plate of vehicle.
Thanks!
It’s state park land but there are hunting permits issued. I’ll call the rangers office and figure that out. When I last went I parked on the north.

Thanks for the reply - do you know who I ought to call about the permit?

Hey Brett, it’s 1.5 miles in. Shouldn’t have an issue with downed trees. No fees for parking or camping, as it’s a designated site for the Finger Lakes Trail and not a NYS Park site.

I’ll take it! PM me and I’ll arrange payment.

Not sure. That’s a bit of research I suppose.

Maybe in the spring, then.

We'll have to do something after Letchworth opens up in the spring.
That's fair, I don't have a problem going back, it's not that far to hike out for firewood.

Thanks for that. It will be general news soon enough, I'm sure.
Great suggestion. I'll certainly ask if they are interested. It's a big commitment and I know that Spiguyver is busy with his own channel on YouTube, so this might not be as strong of an idea for him.

Hey there, I'm sorry I grabbed the wrong link. I don't know who Kevin is either. I've updated the link, above, and in the podcast listing. My apologies for not using the correct one.

Although I use dutchware bling for my ends, that method is perfectly fine.

Thanks for the clarification zukiguy!

Yes. And it slides right off. If you don’t do your own splicing, Dutchware has a dogbone in Amstel that works for Hennessy hammocks.

If you remove the cover you’ll see that the ropes are simply knotted through holes melted into the hammock. Changing to fixed loops is pretty straightforward after that.

Bumping with price drop,
$30 each, shipped, or $50 for all 12 ounces.
It was a gift so I’m not sure. Probably not hyper dry.

$36 Each. I'd be willing to discount them if you wanted them both. How about $60 for both?
