Thanks for the intel, hikingdad. We are hanging two hammocks. Hoping for the lakeside site, though we will get there later in the day.
Suggestions on hammock friendly sites on the Bean & Bear Loop? And recommendation on parking in Silver Bay for a two nighter.
Much Appreciated.
My pleasure Brucieh5! Speaking of trip reports...I think we are long over due on a Brucieh5 video trip report. Always enjoy your videos.
Ha! Hawk-eye, no offense taken  I am what I am :D
On some mobile devices, embedded videos do not always show up in HF posts. Increase your video views, by adding a URL link to your video in your Trip Report post. A URL link will allow most mobile...
I have a WWBB and Lite Owl. The Lite Owl is my go to hammock... very comfortable for a side sleeper. However, I am not a big fan of add-on bug nets. So, I use my WWBB during bug season. The WWBB calf...
I ordered a WB lefty XLC a few weeks ago. I gladly paid the extra $25.00 to have it made to this specification.
Love me some Hickery Brothers!
hangNyak, could you post your youtube channel name/link in this thread. Thanks!
I do not think this is a flash related problem. Embedded YT videos worked fine on my iPad3, prior to upgrading to iOS 7. I am able to watch all of the videos in mobile and desktop versions of YT......
I updated to iOS 7.0.3 on my iPad 3. Forum embedded YT videos are working fine now.
I stand corrected...video worked and now does not.
Hang my hammock about waist high, so that when I sit in my hammock my legs are solid 45 degrees at the knees, my feet are flat on the ground-carrying some of my weight, and my buttock sets just a tad...

What is the RL length for the Old Man Winter?
I want to buy a Warbonnet Winter Yeti in very good/excellent condition; from a non-smoking abode; prefer with a 2 oz. overfill.
PM me, if you would like your UQ to spend quality time on the...
I am all for the conversational style of HF. I view via desktop and mobile. Honestly, scrolling through practical and nonsensical posts are no problem for me...I consider it all time well spent.

I always have a small marine air horn in a mesh bag hanging on my ridge line above my head. Do not have to take it out of the bag to blow. Used it once to scare a pack of daring coyotes that got too...
Now, if you did a 2QZQ pole mod to your sil tarp, you would not have to worry about your tarp sagging when wet. No tensioners needed ;)
Thanks Blaktee, I believe you are the first one to comment on that shot! Shug was like Spielberg setting it up
I would say this was probably one of the most challenging trails I have done to date. I fell, eh hem, sauntered a few times... more than any other trail. I put my trekking poles to good use....
Ha ha! Don't you know it. Do you still hear him in your head days after you left the trail? Looking forward to hitting the trail with the three of us one day. We can take turns listening to Shug
Believe me, it would not have been a pretty fall at the other two sites we stayed. A lot of of pointy, sharp rocks on the Snowbank trail, in the woods, in the camp sites and on the bottom of the...
Glad I could oblige, MedicineMan.
I have a WBBB 1.7 and a WL Lite Owl... and dig both. Primarily a back sleeper, however, I do find I can sleep on my side a lot better in my WL Lite Owl.
Any recommendations in the Boise area for a hammock friendly place to car camp that has shower facilities? Looking forward to checking out the Boise Sierra Trading Post outlet!

Received my kydex sheath from Grizzly Outdoors last week, for my Mora Bushcraft. They did a a very nice job. Pleased.
Shug taught me to boil my sap soiled strap in water; dip in portion of strap covered in sap. Take the strap out, just a bit after the boil and rinse. It works real well.
What did you do to tweak the design?
I just ordered a kydex sheath for my Mora Bushcraft from http://www.grizzly-outdoors.com/ Many MoraKniv sheaths can be made without sending in your knife. Reasonably priced, with a two-four week...
Just like Netflix does with their original series, cool!
Thinking about doing a quick overnight hang for two at YRSP. I've never been to this park. Which site is better, John Shultz or Glen Wendel? Can you over night park at the HQ?
