What a great idea! Count me in!
I think it would be better to get more people involved before we specify the spot. But something is telling me that the UK is very likely... :shades:
Chris...
I agree 100% with Hutzelbeins statement. I have been working with Hexon 1.0 since it's on the market and made several hammocks (double layer) out of Hexon and had never any complaints of customers so...
Thanks for the hint, rais'n. I'll better have to check my translating processor...
2,54 metric weeks :)
Many thanks, Massis!
Hooks are out for now but I'll expect new ones at the end of next week. Thanks!
right, unpleasant outlook... :(
Unfortunatly, I do not ship to countries outside the EU. Sorry.
Personally, I wouldn't take it quite that far :) Ok, kidding aside, I love to make gear - for others and for myself, of course. And I really have been annoyed about the fact that everything serious...
There is a new thread with more information:

Thanks!
I guess that everybody will have met his personal LIZ someday in his life but maybe not such a creative one :-)
@Mittagsfrost, I really appreciate this! You now that there is always...
Most people know that 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything but do they also know that there is a shop for hammocks and DUTCHWARE-Gear in Europe?
Well, yes...
If itīs just about the difference between the two materials and not brands:
Another point would be that polyester wonīt strech as much as nylon does when getting wet. But nylon gives a better...
Thanks for the video!
But what is that green peace of fabric swinging there above the snow? Say Shug, is it Green Beanē what we can see? :-)
From time to time I'm using 100cm long straps with UCRs and softshackles, had no problems so far. Because the UCR runs through the eye of the softshackle when the strap is put around the tree I first...

I wish I had opened the shop for European hangers already but bureaucratic barriers in Germany are tough, though. I think it will last till the end of october.
But if you give me a...
I'll check it out later and give you an answer today.
Thanks!
That is true. Dendronaut-Haengematten.de is relativly new and is only available in German at the moment.
Once the shop is published in English there will be the oportunity to supply other european...
What about burnt orange - corresponding to brown, black or olive outer layers? :-P
Wow, great links! Since I was a child I went to NL for camping-holidays but paalkamperen is new to me. I definitely have to keep it in mind for one of my next trip to NL. Dank je!
m_huber, if...
Lijn, can you tell us more about this "semi wild" spots? What do they look like? Are the private? Where are they located?
Thanks!

Nice one!
Once all of the arrangement of my next project is almost done you suddenly came around with news like that. Now I'll have to think over again - thanks!
w.
Hammockforums - I love it!
With 8.8 oz I put a tiny little bit to much down into this UQ ;-) but it was my first one and I wanted to be shure. Today I think 6 oz would be the right amount of down for a quilt with that size...
I use to make the outer layer almost 7/8" wider (2cm actually). My Exped Synmat is about 2 3/4 and it fits perfectly but it also works well with thin pads.
@GrizzlyAdams
I`m not sure if I got it...
+1 to what gmcttr said.
I've made several SL and DL (with a wider layer for pads, not for reinforcement) and had never any problems with the seams. I'm ~224 lb and the lightest fabric I`ve used was...
JRBs are making UQ's with horizontal baffels and they seem to be very popular, though...
great project!
are you planing to try it with an down uq? I wonder if moisture would accumulate between your body and the layers than then? Even if one would not sweat I suppose that the dew point...
Thanks for all the nice replies, glad you liked the video!
We were absolutely lucky - these two days have been the only days with snow so far.
Yes, the quiet out in the snowy woods is beyond...
Hi,
just would like to share my short video which shows some impressions of an overnight trip in the snowy woods somewhere in Germany. It's my first video so don't expect pro work ;-). Subtitles...
Did you bought the fabric at ripstopbytherole.com?
Sewing a tarp will be one of my next projects. By seeing your awesome work,
I know which color Iīll have to choose. Thanks for the inspiration!...
Thanks, bruinfan!
Definitly a genuine thought. But as long as people using such kind of services for private matters there will be hopefully no ruin of free things like this. The remainig tips...
What a bother!
But why don't just use it and watch the tarp under various conditions? If something is still annoying you can do some ripping (if the construction of the reinforced corners allow)...
When I heard about 3D-printing the first time I was fascinated at once about its undreamt-of possibilities. Now that the further development of technology rushes the ordinary man is able to print his...
Thanks gmcttr, that's geat! Now i can see that the dimensions are fairly the same. So the lynx should fit.
Really had to check it out precisely, because if that bussiness fails... ...i mean itīs...
Thanks for the quick replies!
I guess that once i've got the dimensions of the body it would be a easier to gauge or to imagine of how he quilt will fit because i can compare the shapes of both...
hi all,
i wonder if the lynx uq will fit my diy bridge hammock (the body is 86" x 46.5" (head end) resp. 38" (foot end)).
But how could i find out? One way, possibly, would be comparing the...
Connecting the quilt with the ridgeline has highly stressed the seams of the grosgrain (where the d-rings are attached) although i kept the tension moderate (to my mind). Recently i've tried a...
Hi all,
new to hammock camping i soon had to face the question of insolation and finally decided to go with down underquilts. Lightweight, less bulky, et cetera. So i purchased an incubator 40°...
