We will be there by 8a on Saturday.
Haha me too
Can someone make a spread sheet for signing up?
Chelsea can share our site- she can be the 2nd car at the site.
We are in for Sat-Mon and have a double 16 foot sit on top kayak and a Subaru Forester that a 2nd kayak could be rigged on top with tie downs.
We are going to miss due to work[emoji52]
I reserved 38 just now.
That website where you can look at sites is neat- site 37, 46, 48, 224, and 115 look good too
107080blue highlights have the best sites for hammocks.
Sites 224, 41,43,44,46 are all close to one another around a bend- I say we get those!
Sorry it took me so long to find this map I made last...
New sites see post below
Awesome- I will reserve one in the AM- we liked 207.
We are in for those dates
Yeah we can't do Penobscot with our available days and hope to have much paddling time. It's a real hike up into Maine. Also, it can be class 3-4 Rapids which is way above my comfort level in a two...
We are in Everett so really close to you. I was referring to @joshuatrees comment that HP is a super kid campground and he suggested going elsewhere. Are there other nearby options?
We have crossed the Pemi at the Franconia Brook site two times - in July and August- both no problem and about knee deep.
We've done it! It is worth the effort for sure. Very little water from Garfield to Liberty as an FYI and vice versa. Guyout to the Bonds is the best part I think.
Is there somewhere else near our area for a hang? I may have to come alone if Nathan's working and don't want to drive 2+ hrs away.
That is good for us too- anyone else?
We have successfully had two Summer hangs here- looking at dates for this Summer--
Thinking June 19-21, July 17-19, July 31-August 2
We are available June 6 -7
Also, What about Campton Campground? That's off of exit 28 towards WAtervilke Valley. I've stayed there in a pinch too.
I've camped at most every campground in the Whites except for Lafayette itself...
Russell Pond has so many spots I'd be shocked if it were full. I've gone on Memorial and Labor Day weekends and gotten spots.
Love the pics of you out on the pond. We need to plan a Summer hang where we hike in floats! We day hikes there one time and were jelly that people were out soaking in the sun in the middle of the...
How was your hike on Saturday?
Wow don't own stuff warm enough for this even if we could go. Be safe!
Nathan works Friday and Saturday 13-14 hrs each day -- as of now we won't make it :/
Sawyer River road is plowed by snow mobiles so skiing is definitely a great option.
Ok so a Yooper got a chook... Makes total sense now [emoji6]
7.5 hours for us too- would love to attend
We don't know if Nathan is off Friday yet- will update when we do - otherwise it will be an early Sat hike in
Countryroads aka Chelsea is missing
There today and skied up and down Sawyer Pond road- you need traction for sure.
It's 6 minutes past Bear Notch Nordic ski center- we are here today :0))
How can we make this happen?
Nice!! Thanks for the update
I'm Megan :0)) glad the Neos worked well for you. Happy to have been able to help.
1 of ours broke too
you'll put your eye out!
Glad I got the first batch.
Tim, PM me the shipping cost and I will PayPal you back
That's my ski jacket!!!!!! Argh
Too bad both of you weren't there
The indoor scene is the shelter where everyone parked- we had the raffle in there
For me- I wear medium Neos with running shoes or REI down booties- you would size up for hiking boots so I would...
Mp3prozac and I drove through snow squalls the 2+ hrs it took to get to Williamsburg along the Mass Pike.. We watched temps start at 28 in Boston that leveled out at 19.. But we were...
Started a trip report
I stacked a 0F and 40F under quilt and got down to 8F comfortably... I am a very cold sleeper and the wind chill was -3F
On our way- thick snow squalls on the North Shore of Boston - is it snowing out there?
Naperica- I'm selling my bridge hammock there- it will be hanging to try out.
