Ok thank you, yes items are still for sale.
Amazing! Me and the lady will be up there next month.
First is a pair of North face pants size 14. Button and zip closure with front and back pockets as well as a cargo pocket on the right leg. These were worn on one 3 night trip but only at night,...
I'm gonna cook some jalapeño poppers Saturday
I did the north rim same in late June 2014. No problem hanging the hammocks. Trailhead is tricky to find and be very careful over the rockslides. It was my girlfriends first time to Yosemite and I...
First day was difficult to navigate but after that it is very easy. Rockslides trailhead is difficult to find as it is set back in the woods from the parking spaces with no signs. Also it is called...
If your trying to hike between little Yosemite valley and tuolomne you are going to be in competition with the ppl trying to get JMT permits. 2 years ago I did the north rim trail, I would highly...
Lol i gotta stop buying more gear before the hang, I just got an order from batchstovez. Although you really can never have enough of this stuff.
Oh yea and I gotta drink enough to make up for not coming last year
Hey Paravelian! I see you're from Leona Valley, you ever shop at the feed store?
That tarp looks pretty sweet! I'd be interested in seeing it setup with the bugnet
Those are pretty sweet but 99.9% of my nights outdoors are in a hammock so I'm looking for something that could work on the ground in a pinch.
As much as I hate the thought of going to ground, it is something that is very likely on my JMT trip this year. Right now I am leaning towards the HG winter palace because me and the lady like to...
You mean this isn't the backwoods men forum?...
I'll bring some cornhole boards!
Oh wait nvm its the darts at the head and foot end that make the sides curve correct?
Haha yes I was. So you darted the head and foot end but the sides you just cut a curve?
I wonder if that radius end would help with ridge down the middle that I always seem to be fighting
I noticed in rainman pics that you darted your fabric similar to the way I did my IX underquilt based on DIYgearsupply guide. But CW just cut the fabric to the shape. Was just wondering if that makes...
The last karo TQ I made the baffles were 6" with 6" spaces for simplicity. They are 1.5" with about a 2" loft. It does have a sewn through seam on the footbox but I haven't had a problem with it....
If I understand this correctly, this would allow down to travel freely in and out of the footbox. But there would still be the problem of a sewn through seam on 3 sides.
This is a karo step style TQ so the baffles run both ways but do not connect
I dont have any pics but its where the footbox is open to the rest of the top quilt so down can travel in and out of the footbox. Im trying to avoid a sewn through seam. I want the footbox to stay...
Im working on a new karo TQ with a continuous footbox. Ive searched all over for a guide on how to do this but haven't been able to find anything. I do have an idea on how to do this but figured why...
Ill take it
My girlfriend wants a blue ariel 65, small with medium waist belt.
Why is the inner shell bigger? Isnt the outer shell supposed to be bigger?
Is there a guide showing how this is done?
Seam ripper.... use it every project
Ok so just finished a 10' single layer hammock from the marpat that weighs in at 6.5 ounces, my double layer from the acu weighs in at 13.5 but it has a knotty mod. They feel very different but weigh...
The marpat I just got feels more durable so I like that
Last year I ordered a roll of 1.1 from magna fabrics in ACU. this year I ordered another roll of 1.1 but in MARPAT. the new roll seems to be a bit thicker but I really cant tell. Once I make...
Will 12' tree straps work most of the time?
I am a side sleeper and have found many ways to sleep in a gathered end on my side. Try throwing a small pillow or something under your hip, it will give you a flatter lay. Also try hanging the foot...
No worries I picked one up at rei last year when they had them on sale. Its still in the box just been waiting for this trip lol
Sweet thanx smylz. Go ahead and pm me the info and I will send the funds
Hey man good advice. Im definitely interested in that july trip
Girlfriend definitely wont leave the house without the mace
The main reason I started making all my gear out of camo 1.1 is because I got it for under $1 per yard.
Ill take the camo poncho but only if smylz doesn't want it. If the dimensions are right for you then you got first dibs.
Got the confirmation yesterday, me and my girlfriend will be doing the Yosemite north rim trail first week of June. I still consider myself a novice backpacker and this will be my girlfriends second...
I havent, kind of put the ol thread injector away for awhile but got it back out recently to finish my down TQ. But now that that is finished I should probably take another crack at the hammock seat
Is that a real tree camo tarp?
What kind of material is that and where can I go about getting some?! I think if I had a hammock like that I could convince my girlfriend to start camping with me.
Ill take those descender rings
Funds sent for pad
No worries I just wanted to let you know.
I sent pm for the pad after posting ill take it
I will take the pad
Im interested in the gossemar pad
