Well it is a natiomal forest and the road will probably be open. So we can most likely park there and hike in just a bit to setup camp. There are fire rings all throughout the forest already...
+1 NCPatrick. I believe the correct folks to contact for volunteer trail maintenance in Uwharrie or the Birkhead wilderness are listed below. Best to volunteer for one of their scheduled outings...
