Still to be done apparently. He is going to get to them when he tests his other ropes, hopefully soon.
I have sent the whoopie sling, continuous loop with a locked brummel, and a soft shackle with a very dodgy looking diamond knot off to be destruction tested.
Will report back how it goes when it...
Hi all,

So what are you planning for DIY?
Thanks mate. I was more looking for the webbing alone, made in Australia and able to be purchased in bulk. I have found one site that looks ok - AusWebbing
Hi all,
Does anyone know where to source local polyester webbing for tree straps, suspension etc?
Cheers
The Ocean 12 is working well. I made up some some whoopies and continuous loops, which I used on my Hennessy and on my home made hammock for the kids. I have just received some more Ocean 12 for...
Thanks Grumpy. Sounds like good stuff.
Grumpy - so with the stuff sacks would you use it to seal over the stitching?
Yeah I made a hammock for my 3 1/2 year old daughter with the Spotlight ripstop, haven't hung it yet, but if this rain clears tomorrow maybe the day with her new whoopie sling suspension.
Just...

It looks good. I will try to make up my first whoopie slings tonight, after getting a good sized "dolls needle" from Spotlight which should do the trick.
Rope Galore service was excellent for the...
The cheapest place I could find for the Ocean 12 was Rope Galore, free postage is nice. I have ordered some so will see how it goes.
Just found this stuff, which should be good for whoopie slings, Ocean 12 by Donaghys.
That's funny mate cause I was about to post the same question. Just this weekend I bought some rip stop nylon from Spotlight, so I can make a hammock for my daughter. Good to lnow about the mossie...
