At what temperature do most of you require some type of bottom insulation? I only camp in the summer months. I have a few down sleeping bags, I'm wondering if I'll need any underquilt for the summer....
Sierra Designs makes an odd bag that holds a pad and has a sort of top quilt.

How much does this cost?
Thank you all for the recommendations. Are there any pictures or how-to's? I'm a novice and a lot of this is jargon to me. I like the hennessy but it seems complicated to set up. If I make any...
I have a hennessy explorer deluxe, I would like to use a different system (possibly Eno Atlas) that is faster and more convenient. What is the best method to convert this set-up?
Which do you think would be warmer? How is the zipper and fabric quality on the walmart bag?
Can anyone post any pictures? I'm considering this versus an Eddie Bauer 20° synthetic bag that is considerably more expensive. I'd appreciate your thoughts an input.

Mule, Are you in Indy often?
I have an HH explorer deluxe, I live in Indianapolis (Broad Ripple) could anyone show me how to set it up? I can't figure it out. I've watched many videos and I still can't figure it out.
I do some car camping but mostly kayak camping (sleeping along rivers). I try to leave no trace by carrying a stove system and not using camp fires; eating mountain house style food etc. I haven't...
I'm looking at hammock systems that come with everything. I'd like your expert opinions.
too bad I missed it.
I geocache in cities more than in parks.
If I want to try a ridgeline should I just run some paracord from biner to biner? Or special rope in some other location? How do I know proper length?
What is a ridgeline?
I'll take the bugnet if it falls through.
Is it really necessary? My hammock has ropes that came with it. I tried it in my yard and it doesn't seem like it will harm a tree.
Any thoughts on the eno bug net?
What is the best size?
I have a GrandTurk ultralight. I'd like a cheap rainfly. Is a tarp recommended? If so is there a specific type? Also will I be miserable without a bugnet?
Wow. That looks great, thanks for sharing the photos.
When camping, I usually change in my tent. Is this difficult in a hammock?
So where have you taken your hammock?
Look into the 3M seam sealer. It is cheap and has really good reviews.
Any opinions on the singer 9217? Is $75 a decent price?
Thanks mule, can you post links?
Thanks guys, I'm in Indianapolis but I camp in HNF and brown co.
Hi,
I'm from Indiana, I enjoy cycling, being cheap, camping and restoring vintage items. Hoping to try out hammocks.
