Looking to pick up a hammock tarp. Would prefer a hex tarp to an asym. Doing more kayak camping this year and ditching the tent. Thought I would see if anyone has an older tarp they don't use anymore...

Nobody interested?
bump. Bag is still for sale. Really good deal. Make me an offer...
Sorry for all the confusion guys. Nuttysquirrel is getting the tarp. My fault and confusion. Bag is still up for sale.
It is a 30 degree bag, blue in color, and I believe it is a regular. I'm 5'9" 230lbs and fit comfortably in the bag with some room to spare.
I don't have any pics of the tarp as I just put it up to see how it was. I can take some pics of it on the ground outside of the bag.

I've been immune to poison ivy for most of my life but last year I got it. If you wash the straps well you should be ok. If not just buy new ones...
I bought mine from whoopieslings.com. I've been very happy with them so far...
Thanks for the heads up I will have to put in an order...
My straps at 12 ft and I haven't had a problem yet but that's just what I personally carry. To be safe I would go with a 15ft strap and you should be good to go...

I can lie flat in my hammock but I lie across the hammock instead of the natural position...
Lots of good info on this topic....
I just use neutral colors such as OD and browns. I think it blends it pretty well...
Don't have any pics yet of my hangs as I'm new to the lifestyle but you guys have some awesome pics!
THanks for the welcome!
Didn't see anything on TN in there. I have camped throughout TN but never in the smoky mountains
I got into my setup pretty cheap with the hammock from WOOT. I've been happy with it for my first hammock but I'm sure I will be upgrading very soon...
Sweet tarp man!!
I just used a piece of amsteel and leave it attached to the tie outs and have figure 9s that I use
THis is what I used to seal my tarp. My dad had a bunch of it and it's help up well...

I looked the other day and the website said they don't carry these anymore. Anybody bought one recently?
That looks like an awesome tarp!!
Underquilts will be my next investment so I can get out into the colder weather...

That looks awesome!! I wanna try to find some material in FLAK camo to build a hammock out of...

I like to geocache with some of by buddies but haven't done it in a while. Seeing this post makes me want to get back into it.
Looks like it was a lot of fun!!
Gorgous pictures. Thanks for posting them up!
The only think I would be worried about would be the lightning hitting one of the trees I was hanging from and splitting it. But that's like a one in a billion chance I would assume
Sounds like a smart kid!! lol.
In 30 degrees I would think I would freeze to death. But with some of the underquilts people are hanging colder than that...
Looks pretty awesome!!
That looks pretty sweet. I've been wanting to do something like that in my den downstairs to watch TV in lol
Sometimes I like to be seen and sometimes I would rather not be seen. Some of my gear is bright and others is in earthy tones or camo. If I want to be seen I just hang my bright colored bags from my...
Does anyone know if they have something like this for android and if it's reliable?
If I sleep on the ground I feel very stiff in the morning. WHen I started hammock camping I wasn't nearly as stiff when I woke up. But I think everyone is different and hammocking isn't for everyone.
Wow. that is definitely and reason to get above the ground!!
New to hammock camping here. Always thought that hammocks would be comfortable to sleep in and I was right. I have just dove into the world of hammocking and now I love it. Took a trip on the AT...
