A float hang sounds nice! I would definitely be interested in attending one of those. Hope this weekend is fun for all involved! Be safe!
Thanks for the info. I know of enough places around Lakes Ouachita and DeGray. I've never attempted anything in the Little Rock area though, so I just thought I would ask. I was hoping to hike. Maybe...
Hi folks. I'm looking to do an overnighter with a friend who will be using a hammock for the first time. Work and family schedules are such that we can only get one night and it should be somewhere...
Late to the welcome party, but, WELCOME from Arkadelphia! Hope the trip went well.
Always love to read an ERL trip report. It's a good time of year to hike in Arkansas. Thanks for posting those pics.
Thanks for sharing all those pictures!
Kudos on your mister and missus trip! Those will be great memories to build some family traditions off of. Keep it up!
Love it! Ouachita is a beautiful lake! I've kayaked from Brady mountain to a couple of the points for an overnight. Thanks for sharing your story. Each pic of you guys shows just how much fun you...
Love this. Thanks Bill.
Your write up was well crafted. Thank you for the pictures. That mountain isn't as lonely as it is inviting.
That lunch beach was gorgeous! It had a bit of a tropical look to it. Good job on the video!
This was certainly one of the most well written trip reports I've read here. Very thorough, but compelling. Thank you so much for taking the time to share the experience with us!
Truth. I was taking advantage of this polar vortex and playing around with this rig. When the fall finally gets here, I'll be able to head to the backyard for some "gear testing" instead of having to...
My backyard is a mess. I have a few trees, but none close enough to hang from...until now! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/21/be5u4eqe.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/21/ury4u8y9.jpg
It's just a...
The QUIET was amazing in these vids. I've managed to find some calm this morning thanks to part 3. How long did it take the transitional buzzing in your ears to go away?

That looked like a great hike. I'm sure some ibuprofen came in handy that next morning!
Thank you for the pictures...
Looks like a great family-friendly time!
Thanks for the write up everyone. It sounds like a great time, every time. Always enjoy hearing about the algonquin park and boundary waters trips.
Always love a BWCA trip vid. Thanks for the take along.
Thanks for the write-up and pics. That Buffalo River sure is a pretty float. I was on the lower a couple weeks ago when the tornadoes hit Central AR. Got driven off the river by a HUGE thunder storm....
Isn't there a trail from Cove Lake up the Mountain? I've thought about doing that little hike as an overnighter since my in-laws live in Altus.
Welcome from just down the road! Have fun with that Warbonnett when it gets here!
Welcome to the FUN! Looks like we may need a Central AR get-together. Have fun chasing all this info down!
Welcome from a Native Louisiana boy!
Love hearing the reports from everyone. Sorry I missed out on the food and camaraderie.
Welcome from just down the road! I'm taking Wednesday night to paddle camp on Lake Ouachita. Hope to see you on the trail sometime!
this hang has gotten BIG since I last checked on it. Happy hanging to all. I, unfortunately will not be able to make it this year. Hope it goes well and I'm really going to miss the food this year!
[QUOTE Harrellt, that's my last name....Harrell[/QUOTE]
Me too! :)
only if you purchase it . I think Brandon offers a spool of lash it/zing it for around $25 that should give you all the length he suggests in the vid with plenty left over. Otherwise, it's just...
Looks like a great trip. That pavilion came in real handy I'm sure. Nice job on the video, OutandBack! Thank you for sharing with us.
The memories your son will have of figuring it out together will cause him to remember this fondly! Good on ya.
Great trip! It's fun that you're both tackling this hammocking thing together. He looked completely happy and content in all those photos. Good job Dad!
ZERO experience here, but couldn't you just use cardboard in place of the hardboard? A nice big refrigerator box would do the trick and then some... Unless that's the worst idea I've ever had....
harvest and then post the pics of the final product!
thanks for the share FIMB. Enjoyed your telling of the story.
loved the dunes covered in snow! thanks for posting!
Thanks for the vid. What town is the Hwy 7 trail head close to? Is it just above Hot Springs?
