You forgot to tell everyone that the pads are "easy on the eyes!"
Got my vote in for ya! Best of luck!
No, it is not a requested item... it is, however, a required item! Unless, of course, you instead make the Korean dish you had a couple of years ago down at one of the Gathland MAHHAs. Actually,...
I will be amazed when my hammock arrives before I order it!!
My son has an Equinox 8' x 10' tarp (from Campmor) that he has used for about 10 years without incident. He has an ENO double nest without a ridgeline. When he started using the tarp, he was...
Pan has adjusted quilts and shown me how to customize my hang at several hangs over the years. Every time I get stuck on something, I wait until a MAHHA, look for the Jacks and have a solution in a...
I agree with the comments above - it was another great MAHHA Thanks to all the behind the scenes folks at the hang and those that could not attend but did so much advance work (2Q, ZQ, Happy...
Thanks for a great, colorful trip report. My daughter and I had a trip to the LCW planned for last May but got snowed out a couple of days before the trip. Good to see what it is like.
I'm putting it on the calendar and hiding pencils that have erasers! Hope to see everyone there.
So sad to lose someone so loved and respected. Every time I saw him, he was the nicest person. Although our community has suffered a tremendous loss, we are a better community for having had Keith...
Thanks for the time, effort and, I am sure, aggravation, that went into the upgrade. It's taking a little getting used to some of the new stuff but it is only trivial... Great Job!
Welcome from out of the lurking. And welcome back from the dark side! My daughter is in Colorado Springs. In the Fall she did part of the Four Pass Loop in the Maroon Bells near Aspen. Second day...
Thanks for sharing your fantastic adventure. Setting up in the middle of the night must have been fun!
So sad. Cute kid.
He was going to saw a limb to fall on you!
GREAT NEWS!!!! All the best for continued success.
As jolly green said, great news! You know we are all pulling for ya!
Nice quilt! You've got quite a future coming!
That picture is beautiful! Glad you got to see it in person and converted two folks to the elevated life. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed the video! Beware the paracord suspension - it is nylon and st r e t c h e s ! When you get the chance, consider non-stretching line.
I seem to remember a couple of filet mignons you cooked over a little wood stove at the 501 Shelter one evening. Probably came from Dietrich's Meat Market. How many Dutch hooks could I get for a 6...
The gorge. I took my son there about 3 or 4 years ago for a couple of nights. He was about 13 or 14. We were down near Pinch In trail - actually took it down to the river in heat over 100 degrees....
Nice trip - Jenna is lucky to have a dad who will take her and you are lucky to have a daughter who will go. Keep taking advantage of that before she's up and out of the house.
I used to camp on...
Thanks for taking us along. Brought back good memories.
4estTrekker - you forgot one thing - to mail that beauty to me! :D
Great job. How long did it take you? I am contemplating making one just like that but I've got so much going on that it's hard...
Dutch?... Dutch?... Didja hear that? Whoopie pies! Guess you'll be there, huh?
The dates are on my calendar! Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I have your recliner. Let's stay in touch and I will get it back to you.
A great hang! Thanks to everyone. It was great to see old friends and meet new ones.
There was so much wood already sawn that we (Oh-No) only had to split some and we had more than we needed. ...
It wasn't me. I talked to Knotty this morning and we thought we would wait until we got there to get the extra site. I am sure we can get something that works.
OK... Who put me down for "Maine Lobster and clover fed prime rib" for Saturday night? Everyone knows I only do Maine prime rib and clover fed lobsters! :D
Looks like the signup sheet got...
Knotty,
Thanks for all the research. Stephens State Park looks good. Can't wait!
That is beautiful - thanks for sharing it with us. I am jealous.
I'll be there! Can't wait.
Can we get a facsimile of J.D. sitting at the sign-in board waving at everyone?!? (That's what he did at the 2010 hang... when we were the only folks in the entire...
I have used a somewhat crumpled space blanket between my hammock and UQ when I had a cold spot and didn't feel like making adjustments in the middle of the night. Just stuffed the space blanket...
Two nice folks being nice. Couldn't ask for a better example of kindness.
Prayers and good vibes coming. Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery.
The last I read this thread Adam was off trail to get his ankle/foot looked after. I am sorry to now hear about Jenny's father. Prayers, good karma and peaceful thoughts sent to the Hursts.
Looks like a nice, relaxing time. Thanks for sharing.
Looking good! I love the North Georgia mountains.
Looks very nice indeed! Also loved the trampoline play in a floor length gown!
Another great MAHHA - good to see old friends and meet new ones. Special thanks to Loser for entertaining Friday night. His voice wafting through the pines told me I was in the right spot.
...
What LRR said... he just beat me to it. Hoping it is minor.
Lookin' good!
No way...I'm keepin' mine. Sorry.
Same as most of the folks above - Marlee sleeps close by. I have laid down insulation and ground cloths for him but he usually just plops down elsewhere. He is not leashed at night when I am solo...
Well done there, Dad! That's one proud, happy little guy.
You've got it backwards... that IS a good thing! :D
Excellent trip report... just plain excellent. Thanks!
As always, a fine report of a great time in fantastic country. Thanks!
