The only issue could be that they get in a way of the entrance exit.
That would work too but with my winter tarp cut I could have the pole attached to each end while still having that 'extra fabric' for the doors. I figured if I clip the doors together the pull will...
Excellent photos. Vyborne.
I was wondering about fitting 2 internal hoop poles on the inside of my HG Winter Palace and then draw the doors closed to maintain tension on the pole hoops to hold the 'tent' shape and perhaps...
Great trip. Inspiring. I always wanted to paddle overseas. Here in Maine I'm an active sea kayaker. So, just to confirm the prices I saw on their web site...it looks like you paid a little over $200...
yeah, I think I will. Camden Hills State Park
ordered 2 sidecars today. I resisted for a month...it was futile... ;-)
I'd say that for really cold weather I'd rather bring a wide foam mattress in addition to my underquilt.
I watched the first 3 videos. Awesome! Had a full weekend outdoors but I'm looking forward tonight to check out the latest. Thank You for the videos.
About 5 years ago we did about 10 days on the...
Great report. Loved the photos. It looks really fun and it didn't look that buggy ... must be that time of the year huh, August the bug count goes down ? :-)
How many kilometers did You paddle...
I got mine yesterday. I zipped it all up on my couch but it looked wrong. This morning I strung it outside and yes, I had it all upside down, inside out ... ;-)
Fixed it all up and it looks...
Dutch, do You have a link to a swatch of all the colors you offer on the chameleon?
Yeah. You're the man. Good stuff. I will be getting one but that means I have to buy another chameleon so I'll wait a little bit before I order :-)
oops. You are right about that.
A woman tied a hammock to a chimney on a roof. RIP.
Yep. I have their wide Zeppelin. It's great!
If you go north to south, start at Appalachia trailhead and take Valley Way trail. The official campsite close to the Madison tree line has a few good hang spots (I hung there).
From there it is a...
Watched part 2 today. Loved it. Been in those situations my times. Great adventure. Thank you for asking videos.

Yeah. That blows. I am somewhat considering getting a hammock stand in increase the locations where I can enjoy a hang.
yeah. I hang in my backyard too. Got a nice pair of trees under the clothes line :-)
... but I definitely don't like to pick trees in public where I could encounter too much attention. Luckily...
heh. sometimes I hang for 30-40 minutes on my lunch break :-)
watched it yesterday - great video and thank You for making it :-)
I have a bright orange hammock for public places and then my camo/green setup for backpacking/camping :-)
I feel the bright colors help when hanging in public for a 'quickie' :-)
What are the general rules in your neck of the woods for casual hammock time.
I have to admit I usually just wing it and pitch my hammock at various parks (public lands, dog parks, state parks...
wow. all the way to Bratislava. :-) Pretty cool! Great Trip. I'd say You nailed it.
Fresh owner of a Chameleon here.
I love it.
First I bought the Chameleon with the net. Then I got two peak lofts and the top cover. :-)
One thing that impressed me is how small of a...

I'll take the Burrow if it is still available.
aah. Great idea! :-) Thank You.
I think I'll answer my own question: Peak Shelf
I had a quick jaunt with my new Chameleon that came in yesterday. It's all good. Especially love all the inside and outside attachment options. As I laid in the hammock briefly, I unzipped the bug...
Im interested
I see. Makes sense now. :-) Cheers
Hiking Owls Head from Sawyer is definitely not realistic.
Because of the stove ? :-)
I think the mileage for day 2 is underestimated. If you chose to stay at guyot shelter then I'd say the plan is more realistic but you chose the most remote spot in the Whites...
I'll give others...
The nights could be crisp, especially above the tree line and on the presidential range it's always got weather that is more reminiscent of Labrador ... but You won't be above the tree line at night...
Not really
The first suggestions are definitely great hikes but hardly 'less traveled' and somewhat on an advanced level but anything can be done in measurable doses ;-)
Take look at Evans Notch and perhaps...
the only caveat I would point out is that skiing with a pulk is more difficult than just skiing and therefore could make the 4 miles more of a hassle for someone less experienced. Perhaps just...
The parking lot will accomodate at least 15 cars. The sawyer road section will be broken in by snowmobiles, hikers and dog sleds. After you pass a bridge with a parking lot on the left it is another...

Ecellent news. I will most likely ski in. I don't like pulling sleds so I'll pack as light as i can
My friend pulled a 50lb sled last weekend at Baxter State park but he has studded tired
I just read through the whole thread. Someone was considering a fat bike ride in. I could add it to my list if transportation options...
I may be able to make it. Thinking start Friday morning on skis and departing Saturday.

I have a marine walkie talkie. I can bring it. I can probably bring two if necessary :-)
Awesome place and great people. Kayaking was trip was sweet, we paddled around some islands and observed osprey nests from a distance. I played a guitar after a pretty long hiatus and it was the best...
