Just ordered the in stock Jarbridge. Thanks
Is the in stock jarbridge a one or three season?
I thought they were for the pad, but now I want to try them out holding the net.
I was wanting a good sale on the SS too.
I have the standard tarp but plan on replacing it eventually. Definately not gonna replace it with a Hennessey though. Looking at the Tadpole right now. There are alot more larger and lighter...
I keep going back and forth with them. Right now I only have the tarp in the skins and cram the hammock into the HH stuff sack. If it's nice out I like to keep the tarp stored in the skins so I can...
I've always wanted to do that but have been scared to tie off to door hinges and the like.
I've been using knot bones. They are really easy to use and I can use them for a variety of other uses involving lines. They are more versatile than alot of other line tensioners.
Sounds like ENO made the needed changes. Good news.
I am 5'10", 175 lbs. The Expedition is large enough for me to stay comfortable. I would use the extra money to upgade or replace the tarp or to get one of the lighter options if you anticipate the...
The speed ofsetup and take down basically lies on the method you choose to hang the hammock.
I know I don't need it, but I am having buyer's regret for NOT buying the SN.
Yeah, I never heard of the prussiks on the stock lines. That's a real good idea.
If they go on sale I'm gonna buy one so fast it will knock the J off of Jarbridge.
I've been running my stock HH lines through rings for several months now without any noticeable wear on the ropes. I've found little first hand experience citing actual failure or serious wear on the...
I've been going through the same thing as you trying to pick out a UQ. Look in the UQ subforum. Buffalo Skipper showed me some pics of the Jarbridge. If you get the 30* Jarbridge, it packs pretty...
Yeah, that helps alot. I might go that route. I'm waiting to see if they go on sale for $80 again and I will probably pull the pin on the JBR. That's considerably cheaper than my other options. ...
I considered the Jarbridge but was wanting something that packed a little smaller. Also gave some thought to the HHSS or making a PLUQ, but bothseemed too bulky for my taste too.
I'm looking at a summerweight UQ to use with my HH. I am comparing Wilderness Logics SSUQ and the Te-Wa Breeze. They are the same price, weight, etc. Any reason I should pick one over the other?
People go to whoopies for the lighter weight and they make it really easy to adjust the hang of the hammock.
Are you going to replace the HH tarp with the tadpole? I am thinking aboutdoing something similar. I want a tarp with 2 tieouts on the side like this so I can tie it out to trees and have a "porch".
yeah, those pieces of foam on the net are a real good idea. I like the whole thing.
I cut down an old aluminum arrow shaft and it works fine. If it's anywhere near that strengt, it should be fine.

How were you connecting the rope to the rings and what size were the rings?
Whoopies are light and small and easy to adjust. If they are combined with the right system, they are really cool.
That's what I was wanting to verify. I thought it looked similiar to a poncho liner UQ that I could do on my own.
How small will this pack up? Anyone have any pics? I was also looking at the Phoenix 3/4. Looks like it meets my needs but I am also wondering about pack size.
I gotta say, I am more than a little upset by this sale. But I got the free snake skins with mine right? Whoo!!
I did the same thing. When I got the CAMP biners and the rings and finally realized how light they were, I was really impressed.
I'm pretty excited to hear reports on the new atlas straps. Almost making me regret changing my ENO over to whoopies. I like the concept of the atlas/slapstraps. Hope the atlas straps work.
I started out with whoopies and toggles on my ENO. When I went to Hennesey, I originally intended on putting whoopies on it too. Once I started looking into it, I steered away from it because it...
Keep me posted on the Torreya situation. Are any of those primitive sites on or near the bluffs? I've never been there but have been considering a trip there soon.
Is there some advantage you found using the two pieces of rope as opposed to attaching the rings directly to the carabiner?
When you all get both the tarp and hammock into one snake skin how hard is it to get into the stock bag? For that matter, if you have the tarp and hammock in seperate skins, do they fit easily? I...
Man it's good to know there are a few people using the same method I am. I guess we might all hit the ground at the same time, but at least I'm not alone.
For me it's a cross between comfort and places to hang. Often when I use a hammock, i'm in a place where it is not convenient to carry and use a tent. One of my last hangs I was forced to hang in a...
I looked too and it must have gone away. I didn't see any ENO products at all.
Yeah, I always use a slippery half hitch behind the rings as added protection. I guess if I start to see wear I can replace the stock rope with the rings and put the webbing through the rings like...
I am new to the forum and recently switched from an ENO DN with whoopies to a HH Expedition. I have been looking around quite a bit about suspension and keep seeing people advising against using the...
Hate to call myself a newb. Been lurking forever and been hanging for a year now. Sorry I didn't show up sooner.
