Thanks. I know there are many variables to consider, but what temperatures do you think the stuff can go down to?

I will be getting this! Any news on the pricing?
Pretty sweet setup!
Great idea...you da man, knotty!
I also have that exact pack...great pack, highly recommended!
I envy your thru hike! Good luck dude!
Awesome! I'm gonna tackle an UQ in a few months, I hope mine turns out as nice!
How does primaloft compare to down? I am going to tackle an UQ in a few months and am trying to plan it out.
Awesome job dude! Im doing an 11' stretch side gathered end also, but mine will be a double layer because I am double-layer sized. Your work turned out great!
Thanks for the suggestion! :)
Phoenix of Anderson, just south of Greenville, SC.
I need to save, but am not disciplined enough for that (or my 3 kids eat any overflow cash I might have)...but I did just get my tax return... :)
What an awesome rig! I wouldn't want to take that down any of the rapids up here though, :)
That was supposed to say " making forts and tents"...stupid iPhone auto correct...
That reminds me of makimousiest and tents out of sheets when we were little kids...tons of fun!
I just wrap myself in my hammock and hop in the shower with it... :)
Seriously, I wash mine often with no problems on the gentle cycle...you should be good to go.
Cuban sounds awesome...but too rich for my blood. I would gladly take some off of anyone's hands though...
Yes, there seems to be plenty of DIY Jedi masters here to help new padawans like me harness the DIY force.
Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to taking on the FT later this year. I just got my guide book and map in the mail last night!
Nice job dude!
Welcome from Mountain City, GA. I as well started out with an ENO and a sleeping pad...I am now making a DIY hammock and looking forward to an under quilt soon!
Welcome from GA. I have an ENO single nest that has served me well for about a year now. I'm a pretty big dude, so I am making a larger DIY hammock now.
Welcome from Mountain City, Ga!
Welcome dude, I also am a scout dad...I've converted a few scouts to hammocks!
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and fairly new to hammock camping. I have an ENO single nest, but it is a little small for me (6'4'' and 300lbs) so I am now a DIY kinda guy and am in the process...
I whipped the material before sewing and it looks like the material is gonna be perfect, a lot more comfy than my cramped single nest (which is still pretty comfy)! I'm gonna grab some more next...
I have been wondering the same thing, up in the GA mountains morning dew is inevitable...fortunately real mountain dew isn't as sticky as the stuff in the can, but it is uncomfortable.
I didn't know Montbell made so much stuff...why don't they sell them in the US?
Chattooga is very nice...and right down the road from me. I might be able to drop in since I'm not leaving for Colombia till that Monday after.
Since I'm new to the forums this will give me a...
Nice! I love good stuff that is cheap!
Nice deal!
June is booked solid with other youth group stuff. I will probably do a shorter trip on the FT, or maybe just do the Chattooga Trail (that's pretty much our backyard and a trail I am very familliar...
Thanks Rain Man. I ordered the guide and map yesterday, so I will be studying it closely when I get it. Thank you for your advice, and I will probably PM you with some questions when they arise.
I...
It would come out to $232.41 in USD.
Sorry, I didn't realize you already answered my question! Good idea!
Thanks for the advice, everyone! I might change location, to a slightly cooler area with lots of water and cover...but the summer is really the only time to do it. Any suggestions on a multi-day hike...
October sounds like a great time to go! Much better than July!
On the bright side, no need for under quilts in that heat!
Hey guys,
I'm planning on taking a handfull of guys from the youth group that I pastor to tackle the Foothills Trail over thier summer break (I'm thinking July...I know, it will be HOT). Has...
I got the material at the Phoenix of Anderson warehouse...there is a thread about "inexpensive DIY material near Greenvilke,SC", that's the place.
I'm not sure the weight of the material, but at...
I have an eno also, and I like mine too...just makin a funny!
Sounds good guys...flatter = better for me! I am 6'4" so I think 11 feet long at my width would be good.
Thanks again!
Thanks. That's kinda what I was thinking. I'd rather have to go back and cut some off later if needed rather than try to sew material on the sides because it isn't wide enough...then I'd have an ENO,...
Hey guys, I got a bunch of ripstop that is about 74" wide and I'm making my first hammock (stretch-side)...should I cut it down to about 60-64" or leave it 74"wide. I'm a big dude, but I want it to...
Sorry for the lame excuse! :)
I'll be hanging with you guys in spirit...
I'd like to join in, but I'll be in Bogota, Colombia March 5-10...Maybe I'll make it to the next one!
Just left the place, awesome store! I spent $80 and got enough stuff to make a DL hammock for me, 2 SL hammocks for my boys, bug netting for all 3, enough ripstop scraps to make a DIY backpack,...
Thanks for this! I'm heading to Colombia in a month and want to bring a backpack small enough to satisfy the carry-on diminsions the airline enforces. My other bags are either too big for the...
