Vogel is great. Not far from the city at all
Interesting, I'll have to give that a shot. Do your thighs ever get cold? The pad I was using extended from the end of my UQ to my feet so that wouldn't happen.
I will probably go to a full length eventually. Sometimes the pad under my legs would get a bit uncomfortable because of the stiffness, but it was very bearable and didn't bother me too much.
My feet never felt to warm to the point where they were sweaty. I didn't consider that possibility though.
Mostly wet and humid. The first 2 nights of the trip it snowed and the winds were around 10-15 mph. The next two nights it got fairly cold, but stayed dry. Then on the last day I woke up to pouring...
I wouldn't use one for hanging a hammock, but I do use one for my CRL. It works great but I'm eventually going to switch to tarp flys or stingers since the teeth on the figure 9 seem to chew up the...
I ended up taking both 20s, a blue pad for my feet, and down booties for the coldest nights. No thermometer but lows in the area dipped below 20, I had zero problems staying warm.
3 season, yes. Winter, maybe. It would depend on what temps you're planning on sleeping in. It's rated for 32, but seems to be less loftier than higher quality quilts with similar ratings
Having trouble deciding whether I should string up my 20* tq to use as a full length underquilt, and use a 32* tq. Or, use a 20* 3/4 length uq and use a 20* tq. Lows will be maybe high teens to mid...
I love my greylock 3. Would recommend to anyone
I never got one...
Sent you a pm
Preferably something on the long side
I've taken mine down into the mid to low 50s in windy conditions and slept very warm. I think if I did the tennis ball treatment and restore some loft I could take it lower and be fine. What type of...
Is the webbing to webbing friction a huge concern?
Yeah, I was planning on using the toggle and marlin spike. The triangle is just kind of there
I ordered my blackbird with the line strap suspension and recently converted to whoopies. I was wondering if it would be suitable to use the tree straps that came with it. They're about 5ft long or...
I'll take it.
Cards are always great to bring
Walmart has a nifty function on their website, you enter your zipcode and it tells you the stores in your area that have the item in stock. That's how I found mine
Search Ozark Trail Down Mummy bag and you should find it easily
Nice job! Makes me want to give this a shot
Mine is the same way. The hood is really puffy, the rest, not so much.
I can't wait to see the result. I have one of these as well and have had similar thoughts about converting it, though I lack the skill set to pull it off...
My parents traveled to Rocky Mountain NP to go hiking this weekend. I'm jealous
My first hang was in the rain. It was dry when we set up camp, and started raining not long after we went to sleep. It must have rained from 12am-9am. Stayed warm and dry the entire time. All in all...
Athos was one of my favorite characters in the three musketeers
Greetings! I just received my first hammock (WBBB) a few days ago and going to use it for the first time tonight. I've borrowed a hammock in the past, but I'm still pretty new to the whole hanging...
