I ain't gonna make it at all. Still no power after 3 days. My generator is breathing hard and I haven't even started cleanup. See you guys at the next one I hope.
Well, the ice storm got me pretty bad. Lots of downed/busted trees. Pretty disheartening. Not gonna make the camp, but I might visit Saturday evening if anybody else goes.
I'll take it
I would like to buy 1 or even 2 gathered end underquilt protectors. Lemme know. Thanks
Hey LazyBee. Hope to see you in March!
Hey SB, when you gonna throw another Sipsey Hang?
Wish you could come on down.
I will make at least one night.
Not sure... GrannyPat said in another thread regarding DeSoto "For future hangs at Desoto, I want to note that we were visited by a ranger who told us that tents had to be on the pads. Ursamajor...
Seller has responded, so
I'll take it.
Me and the wife are back home safe to GEORGIA, but we really enjoyed our time in SC with the Palmetto State gang. Sorry we left so abruptly this AM and did not get to say our goodbyes to everyone,...
I'll take it if it includes both whoopies and straps AND assuming the original stuff sack @ $125.00. PM me with payment info.
Yeah, that Dutch, always spreading things around...:D
Just signed the spreadsheet for me and the wife. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. Should be arriving Friday around noon. See y'all there!
I got it on a tablet a couple of times just yesterday. Thought it was just me. No ctrl-alt-delete on a tablet....
Way to go Skip. Great first step. It's all downhill from here!
Wow. I had a great time! Thanks to Grannypat for sharing her campsite, and her excellent firebuilding skills. Great to see MadDog and Christy and their 4 legged companion. Glad my buddy Skipcurt...
Looks like it is gonna be a be-you-ti-full day in the North Georgia mountains, but getting a bit chilly this evening. See you guys this afternoon!
I am not positive, but I don't really think so. I forgot to check when I was there a couple weeks ago. There is coverage in several areas along the main road, probably within a couple miles anyways....
I should be there early afternoon Friday, and stay Friday night, and most of the day on Saturday. Regretfully, gotta come back to the barn on Saturday night.
Make a big enough batch and they can be for both nights. :D
Yep. What he said.
DeSoto is gonna be eazy-peazy, and will give some of the new folks a chance to look at different set-ups.
I will either be there to overnite on Friday, or to just pester the folks that are there. Hope to be able to stay the night. Got a shot of cortisone in the shoulder today, so I am keeping my fingers...
Just got back from DeSoto Falls and Raven Cliffs.
Raven Cliffs looks the same as always, but there are a lot more little hacked off stumps sticking out of the ground like a bunch of boy scouts...
I am gonna try to make a run up that way either tomorrow or wednesday and look around, [DeSoto Falls and Raven Cliffs] and check current conditions. I will report back as soon as I do.
Anybody know of anything on Tray Mountain near water?
It may be Wed before I can get up to raven cliff to look around. I will report conditions when I can.
How's about a selling price? :)
If it ever quits raining, I will head up that way and drive up the road a bit and see what is there.
I vote for tail of the bury as well.
The spelling of "tacticle" in the title had me a little confused....

Missed another good one. Got to get used to using my CPAP and then I will be back in the saddle, I hope.
Now that's more like it!
Yep, just added another hammock to the stable via the Buy/Sell forum on here, a War Bonnet Ridge Runner [bridge style].
You just can't have too many. You will find out...
As usual, you ARE a thinking man and it is good to see you here on the forum.
[Me and Skip are motorcycle riding buddies on another forum]
You need to get your same avatar up on...
I'll take it. The Ridge Runner. Questions were answered to my satisfaction.
I first posted an I'll take it [Ridge Runner], but noticed other post mentioning a blem in the hammock. Request pics of Ridge Runner blem as mentioned in another post if this is the self-same hammock.
Welcome. Shug is indeed one of a kind, OUR kind!
I will probably not show up until late Saturday afternoon for one night. Got stuff to do as usual...
Lollygagging is what I do best! ;)
You might consider putting the inflatable between the layers, and then use the foam on the inside like a TEE to cover your shoulders. An UQ is the way to go IMHO, and you will wonder why you waited...
Been hesitant to commit.
Have had some niggling health problems as of late. Nothing serious, but enough to keep me out of the woods.
Anyways, me and the wife are a possible, and since it is so...
