I really like the hammock in the Jeep, great idea.

Welcome to the forum, I found hammocks the same way on You Tube.

Mountain Hardware makes a sleeping bag that has a pocket in the
bottom of it to slide your sleeping pad into so it will stay put.

+1 on the ridgeline to get a consistent hang.

I saw Shug's videos on You Tube and becuase of his videos I had to try a hammock and became a dedicated "hanger".

I'm eating some left overs for lunch and checking out the forum. My wife is at work so I'm going out to the garage to fab up a new fire pit for home.

I had the same problem and put some lines of Shoe Goo on my sleeping pad to keep it from sliding around.

If you have a double garage door it is easy to screw some eye bolts in each side of the openings of your garage door to hang your hammock from.

Great solution when you could not get a hotel, heck you just go there to sleep and shower anyway and you saved a few bucks too.

Too funny, I loved how he pronounced " Heinekin".

I thought it was fun to say "slap strap" until I found "whoopie sling"...not to mention they are lighter and don't stretch.

Most hardware stores carry an assortment of different size steel rings and should have one that is big and strong enough but not too big and heavy.

I have used the slap straps and currrently use whoopies with the marlin spike and toggles. The whoopies are just as easy to use, adjustable, lightweight and save space.
