Thank you for the info!
When I was stationed in England, our British friends celebrated right next us. They called it their independence from America! There was a big celebration on RAF Feltwell (American base) every year...
Welcome from NW Florida (originally from Charleston).
Thanks Michelle, my son seems to like it.
Here are some pictures. It's hanging in doubled up 550 cord in the pictures, I'm hoping to get some webbing this week. We have a camping trip in two...
Well played.
Thanks Thom. I plan to try it out, I hope it's not to small, I'm really looking forward to using it.
Are ladder locks strong enough for suspension?
I started with 3 yards of ripstop nylon from Walmart. But my hemming took 4 inches of the length, and I'm 6'1". If it's too small for me I'll give it to my 4 y/o son.
Here are a couple of pics....
I was at Sheppard in 07, loved tech school so much I'm going back (sarcasm).

I picked up 3 yards of green wallyworld mystery rip stop today. I'll be back home on Monday and will get started on the body of my hammock soon after. Thanks for the warm welcome!
Welcome from Niceville!
Awesome! I'm going to pick up a few yards of this today. I'll start working on it when I get home, were visiting family in SC right now. I can't wait to get started!
I'm going to be doing some training at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX from Sept - Feb this year. Is San Angelo state park a good place to hang? I haven't gotten a hammock yet, but plan to get one...
Thanks folks! Yes, there is a west marine close to home. I hope to get started in a week or two.
I haven't hiked or camped for years after having kids and being stationed in England for a few years. Now I'm interested in getting back into it, hammock camping sounds interesting to me.
