I did it on mine. There's a post up about it from years ago. Will set if I can dig it out.

Convergent design will happen when solutions are thin on the ground. I like what you're doing with this - I know that the handyhammock peeps were looking for business partners a while back - not sure...
These seem to be heavily influenced by the handy hammock stand but with the advantage of the walking pole mod. Maybe you guys should collaborate given they have a manufacturing process in place?
Find a friend in the US who will by it for you. Check it over. Then send it on as a gift.

Yup. The long bobbin is housed in a shuttle.

My 'new' piece of precision engineering.

The bug free version does. I did a review on here will dig out the url.
[EDIT]
sorry. Misread it. It does have pockets but not for baffles.
Interesting. Do you have a "floor plan" of the pak it light to compare?

As you can see, the sky bed has a...
have you compared it to a hammock Bliss sky bed bug free? Sounds like a very similar design.
Here in the UK is the vendors responsibility to ensure a package is delivered safely. Is that not the case in the US?
Looks similar to my hammockbliss sky bed bug free. Would be interesting to do a comparison.
I disagree. I'd be a darn site easier than whoopies and use less dyneema. But HYOH.
How about having it free running and it resting on a MSH tied around a stick in the dyneema?
I've not even had chance to use mine yet and now I read that I shouldn't! Are there issues with the anchor type too?
Wrong. Urine is not sterile

Not a big fan of this idea either. Don't want to be stepping in a puddle when I get up in the morning.
But I don't think the wee will evaporate to form yellow condensation. The water in the wee...
I did wonder what the 2nd hole was for. It occurred to me at some point putting the line through one hole, around the shank and out through the other hole, may have been experimented with.
there's the sky tent

looks a bit cramped to me though - could do with more tarp.
Strain it, boil it, filter it. It'll be fine.
The OP hasn't expressed any dissatisfaction with their hammock.
Dunno about the tarp. But my hammock is very good quality. Dov is also a great guy to deal with.
This.
Some folks seem to enjoy chewing up and spitting out kickstarter campaigns on here. Seems like it's almost the forum sport.
There's a tribe of indigenous people (South American i think) who sleep on a rope every night. My Google Fu is failing me at the moment though.
I think it's a great idea https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?t=93244
;)
yes - but I don't walk more than a couple of miles to my location.
At the risk of being howled down with shouts of derision. The right weight is what you can comfortably carry for the distance you plan to travel when combined with all your other gear but (most...
for small trees I plan to slip the locked brummel onto my treehugger then shoe lace knot the tree huggers around the back of the tree.
DD Travel hammock. Couldn't get comfy and ended up in a puddle of condensation.
easy deploy, easy packup, no stuff sack floating about to get blown away - what's not to like?
it was an introductory price... sadly you missed out on the introduction.
Spooks - they look like little ghosts.
SPeedhOOKS
They probably mean it in the same context as "special effect".
Besides - you lot can talk. I cringe everytime I read "addicting"...
Recieved and installed mine

Thought this may be of interest. Various sprays to help you find your gear in the dark. Including an invisible wash out one.
If its car camping I'd just get long straps with cinch buckles.
If in doubt make a frame that hugs the wall and ceiling and attach to that. The beam on the cieling will brace the verticle beams which will also be held in place by being attached to the walls. You...
Shipped! Have to wait for them to fly across the pond
I pull 3 out then do a diagonal cut across the end as well.
Yeah - a funky temporary treehouse - I don't think they're marketing themselves to backpackers so not sure why everyone seems to evaluate them through that lens.
Are these reviews from people who've used them, or suppositions from those that haven't?
Great stuff.
So. Will they pass a bounce test? The world waits with baited breath. ..
Clean
I have 2 kids. Inevitably the hammock will get bounced in. Also when rearranging a sleeping bag things can get bouncy. Less worried about the hook unclipping than the tension being released...
Ordered a pair. Have slight concerns that it may slip if someone bounces in the hammock though.
here's how the sky bed is made

My hammock bliss sky bed is made from seperate pieces sewn together. It's done in such a way that there's a rectangular Central section with a sleeve for a sleep mat which achieves a perfectly flat...
I'd use the trees as anchors and use bipods to give you the added height.
Ah sorry - my mistake. Just trying to understand what it actually does, what the benefit is - what's the R rating for the same spec quilt using "standard down" V "IR Down"?
