Is it possible to purchase just a pound?
What size shoe do you wear in a regular shoe? I wear an 11 D, but looking at Stegers website, it looks like I would need a size 12 in their mukluks and the ones you are offering would be too small?...
What does the "XX" stand for?
From the same guy, how to make a cuben tarp. Not sure if I like the idea of sewing on cuben, but it's a start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdTCBJ2lH4U
A tragic event that will be with the family forever. I am saddened for them.
This past Summer I was with a friend who hung his new hammock from a beetle killed lodge pole pine about 10" in...
I'm wondering if anyone can refer me to a one stop shop where I can learn about working with cuben fiber material? I am interested in bonding cuben to make gear, as opposed to sewing. Sources of...
I have a double cube ice fishing shelter that I have hot tented with. Replaced one of the Velcro windows with fireproof material to run a stove pipe through. Works good, but if you get a heavy snow...
Where exactly are you located? With that overnight low, you gotta be near me.

OutandBack, what material is your hammock made out of? Thanks.
You don't say what the bag is rated, but I think you're gonna freeze with that set-up at -20, -30 F. Try it in your yard first.
David is a good guy. I can vouch that he is an A+ guy to do business with.
Either hang it, or buy a large mesh laundry bag and loosely stuff it in the bag. To hang it just use a couple of clip clothespins on the very edge.
Make sure you air it for a day after each use.
Please count me in. Nice way to pay it forward (and backward).
I'll take it. Please send PayPal Info.
I'll take it per terms of my pm to vtrek.
Is this a Regular or a Long?

No, it's technically not Eureka. Eureka sells it, but it is made for Eureka by a Canadian company. The reason it is a bit heavier is because they used big steel biners as part of their suspension. I...
For sale is an original style Eureka Chrysalis, all in one hammock. This hammock has an integral bug net and fly. The hammock itself is a modified bridge style. The top and bug net can be tied back...

Hiking alone in difficult terrain is very risky. The risk is magnified by Winter conditions. If you had slipped and broken an ankle, would you have made it out? Next time, find a partner. You'll be...
Sorry, I misread the post. Thanks for clarifying.
You don't have a price on the one egg wonder.
Mods, please withdraw this post due to lack of interest. Thanks.
Yes, that's the one. Mine does not have the separate bug sleeve. Mosquito protection is built in.
Great reason, among others, for not hanging in the tops of trees. While the view may be great, the first step is a killer.
For Sale is an original style Eureka Chrysalis in like new condition. This Chrysalis was made for Johnson Outdoors before the program was moved to Canada. It is the entire unit, hammock; mosquito...

I'll take the RAB bag. PM sent re: payment.
Look at Sportsmans Guide. They always have a large selection of surplus wool blankets for decent prices.
Anyone have any idea what's become of Danalex? I haven't heard a word since I posted "I'll take it" on the RAB bag. This whole thread has gone silent.
I will take the RAB bag. I assume the price includes shipping CONUS?
If you look at the pictures with the ebay post, you will see pictures of two stoves built with the material in the center of the line of pictures.
I have built this stove, and this material will...
Not a problem. When I was an engineering student in college, I tried to apply a lot of what I was learning to my outside camping pursuits, in particular, staying warm while sleeping, and while...
I am also an engineer and agree with everything Boston has said, particularly that this is a very complicated subject. Heat is transferred by convection, conduction, evaporation, and radiation.
Payment sent. Thanks.

Keep the knife. Take up knife throwing. Practice with your wife!
Nice pics. Been a long time since I floated the Flambeau. I need to plan a trip next Summer.
