I always slept pretty good through the night in my bb, only woke up when nature called but other than that sleep was solid. Then i caved, bought the rr, and after id guess 20+ nights spent sleeping...

Got mine a few days ago (thanks Appalachian!) and now have to wait for the IX to go with it.. Still, I couldn't resist cutting off a few inches and making a mini stuff sack for kicks :)

If my adding was correct i had the last 5yards, but not sure what to do other than send my email.. My first purchase on HF..
I made a small mod to the bugnet. I sewed a small keyring to he head end pull-"up" so i could hang my niteize nightlight above my head, one thing i miss with a RR along with most other people is...
Will take 5 yards for $3per.. Can wait!
The rain.. More specifically the sound of the rain on my tarp, while i lay there and watch it run down to the corner. Most often when I'm expecting rain i like to pitch the tarp into a half porch...
...doesn't have to be ridgerunner specifically, how bout bridge hammocks in general?
Just Curious how others are dealing with suspension on the RR.
When i first got mine i switched out the cinch bucks for whoopie slings, attaching straight to the apex buckle per Brandon's...
Thanks! Yea after this I realized there was a drop down menu for attaching the pic straight into the thread.
Wish it was that easy on tapatalk!!
Yes i was pleasantly surprised with the room.. Although i still want to figure out a door system for it. Id say thats all I miss from the superfly.
Anyone made or seen doors for the cloudburst?
My RR and Cloudburst finally came in a week ago and I was super pleased with my choice. :D
I had to wait a few more days before an overnighter In it, but got my chance on friday night. What made it...
Im trying to figure out the tools here for posting images, not sure if this is right so here is a pic of some diy snakeskin's I recently made..

Save it for the ridgeline of your next diy hammock!
Throw my name in the hat please! Feeling lucky!
Im a big side sleeper, at least, thats how i get to sleep. My wife says I'm all over the place in the middle of the night.
But i defiantly sleep very well on my side in the BB. I hang the foot end...
I went ahead and bought 5 yards noseeum from diygearsupply.. Im gonna try to copy the dimensions of the XL hennessey snakeskins i use for my superfly.
These will be made with a cloudburst in...

Shug Shuug Shuuugity to the rescue!!
Thanks guys!
Anyone have the layout for diy snakeskins? I know i saw it here before but cant find it with searches, went through pages and pages of diy gallery.. Hoping someone had saved it like i should have!
I think grosgrain on the edges might add some protection, but that weight would add up real fast..
Hahaha wow!! Thats bad...
In my defense i downloaded the tapatalk app, it makes it so easy float around i guess i just forgot lol.. Nice catch tho, had a good laugh with the wife about it.
Thanks!
Came up with St. Crow back in high school when I couldn't find a way to use ScareCrow without a bunch of numbers behind or in front. Ive just carried it with me ever since for any thing..
StCrow,...
I definitely don't recommend it, but my superfly survived 50+ wind gusts in a storm we got caught in while on an overnight kayak float. I had to get out 3 or 4 times to restake the pullouts tho,...
Agreed.. Why buy a Casio when for $5 more you can have a Rolex? :D
Plus eno doesn't give you the option for adding door...
Ive been using the original dutch clips for a while now, but when i ordered my RR about a week ago i decided it was time for an upgrade..
Wouldn't you know it, my new titanium dutch clips came...
Just keep playing with that suspension.. Ive felt the same calf pressure before, not comfy! Pay attention to how loose or tight the ridgeline is, if i don't get mine just right that pressure is very...
Right. I prefer Dutch clips,,, So many options
If you got the adjustable webbing why not just skip the biners? Take the webbing out the the cinch buckles and thread the webbing thru itself around the tree.. Cinch it back up and now you're saving...
Ha! Let me know if you find that program, I just ordered the RR for myself and the edge for my wife.. That should cover her in my BB while i figure out a way to get the superfly over that beautiful...
I really enjoyed the low cost of a sleeping pad, but thats about it...
I was so happy:D when I finally got my underquilt! No more waking up to cold spots or dealing with the pad folding, good choice!
Has anyone dealt with sending back an item to warbonnet for repairs?

LOL! My pup has gotten too old to join me on long hikes. But when im just at the home campsite behind the house, Mocha (chocolate lab) is always under the hammock in my way when i want out :)
...
Congrats, its the start of something beautiful! Ive gotten many shipments from Brandon, quality and service is always top notch! Soon to be a proud new owner of the RR, cant wait for that!
Enjoy!
I recently ordered the whoopie hooks, installed them on my 8ft slings and they make dealing with wet suspension sooooo simple! I really like Bubbas straight to the webbing idea via marlin spike tho,...
Like shug, i have a small peice of reflectix for my legs where my uq doesnt cover.. It works amazingly well, and as stated above, it feels nothing like a pad. Though it is a little loud, it might...
I love the sound of rain on my tarp.. its hard to enjoy it though, considering how fast it puts me to sleep.
I would suggest (or shuggest :D) any new hammock owner to watch shugs hammocking 101 videos..
