Hey give us an update if you get a chance! I love the south Island and I also am rocking A WBBB.
Thanks guys for all the info I'm gathering info for a longish bike/hammock trip.
Ya that's too bad man, there are some amazing hikes on the south island.
Crazy story, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! Brings back soo many memories of my hiking in NZ.
Thanks for the video! The East Coast Trail is on my to hike list.
Thanks for sharing those great pics!
Thanks, I'll have to try that some time.
I think the links are broken. So sad, sounds like a great trip.
Thanks for sharing the video! Very cool I like your style.
Thanks for that. I always worried that I would wake up in a mental fog and would be very wet by the time I staked everything out.
Thanks for the great report.
Thanks for the great pictures! Looks like it was lots of fun.
Amazing! Thanks for taking us with you!
Nice video! Thanks for sharing!
Nice one tree hang! I'm still looking for my first...
Great Video! Are you using feathercraft Kayaks?
That's a good question I was wondering about that myself. Thanks Dragon360.
Thanks for making this so simple for noobs like me. I also really enjoyed you book.
That's even smarter.
Has anyone ever tried this and woken up to rain? I always let half the tarp up because I was not sure how fast I could get out of my hammock and set up the rest of the tarp. ...
Thanks for the great pictures!
Looks like a fun trip, you got cute kids. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video looks like it was a fun trip. Too bad it was too cold for your gear.
Great pics! Thanks for the report!
Thanks for sharing!
Great Idea!
Hmm Thanks for the info, How warm is it with out the other pad? The site says you could go down to 40* with it.
At my REI its hard to Find the HHs they are hidden under a huge tent display.
Yours may not.
Thanks for the idea Risk!
I did the same thing on the SHT last fall. I had reflective rope on my pegs so I left them in the ground so I could put the rest of trap up faster if it started to rain.
The reflectix Pad works quite well then? Does it Pack down well?
Thanks for the Info I might have to start making my own gear...:):)
I've put the HH underpad in between the layers of my WBBB 1.1 double. It may compress a bit but it kept me warm into the 40*s. The problem I had was hanging it on the outside since it left a big gap...
REI Only has HH and ENO, none of the other Brands.
I'm fair weather camping as well right now. If your near the Cities we should go find some good places to hang our WBBBs sometime.
After I got bit by the hammock bug I just jumped in a bought a WBBB and I love it! So comfortable!
Just my $.02.
+1 For adjustable webbing! After a lot or research I decided that I could take the extra ozs for keeping it simple.
Theses are from the fall.

Flaps folded in on my SuperFly. I was trying to hang the feet higher. Does anyone else do...
Thanks for your great blog and the quick reply to my PM.:)
Thanks that was very helpful!
If this is sold could you update the post?
PM sent on GSI Halulite Kettle.
I'm tempted do you have a picture?
I just wanted to share my experience buying from Warbonnet.
I got myself a Black Bird 1.1 double layer, and the SuperFly.
I have been enjoying them so much! There was a helpful note included...
+1 this.
I've only done 50 miles on the SHT but from what I saw it was very hammock friendly.
I took my sister on the SHT for her first hiking trip. We did 50 miles in five days and it was great! Very well marked, easy hanging and overall perfect for beginners.
Might run into you guys...
