I had a eno double and went to a HH ultralite BPer zip. I love the HH.the bug net it awesome. The HH is way cheaper in the log run for the whole set up compared to the eno set up.
I have a alps mountainering SB that I've used one time and that was this weekend that I'm to tall for it. It packs down ok. It's synthetic. I'll sale for $50 shipped. I'm 6 foot tall.
I used my buckles this weekend for 2 nights. Awesome buy! I like it a lot better then the hitch. I just like how you can lock the slings in the buckle.

I used my 20 degree sleeping bag, a ground mat, and my poncho liner on top of me and I got down to 45 degrees and I was toasty. I wouldn't think putting the liner on the outside would do all that...
I hope BSA sees hammock camping as an asset one day. A lot of my boys want to hammock camp but the camping MB has requirement to set up and share a tent with another scout on so many campouts.

I have heard of people putting rocks in the fire for an hour or so and putting them on the ground under their hammock with your set up. It should heat it up ok
