Well got home this afternoon after an extra night in a secret campsite with Mtncmpr, Hickery, JerryW, and Finn ... and a breakfast at Louise's

Things I learned this week:

Out the door myself ... almost had to cancel for work ... but nothing that working till 2 am can't fix! :woot:

Hickery and the boys will be fine ... they be Gorge Rats of the highest caliber!

Just a reminder ... camping is not allowed within 200 feet of the trail head. Where the main base camp is located is across the road from the trail head but for the sake of arguing with any gung-ho...

Dry ... highly reccmd the bringing of additional water in your vehicles. With the lower levels of water this month ... having access to a few gallons of easy to get water in you car will be a plus....

Folks don't fret the permit situation all will be addressed in base camp. There are no more permits available so calling Nebo is of no use.

So...

Technically yes inside the gorge requires a permit, Friday and Sat nights. But several of us got permits when they were available ... so we should be able to cover several groups. Also there are...

No ... no permits need as noted by Mac ... actually this list is mainly for making sure everyone is met, everyone gets goodies and we can kinda keep tabs on who goes where later. Safety is my biggest...

Generally nothing to worry with at all ... this time of year. Not that there won't be some gnats and skeeters yet ... but just depends on your tolerance level. But I'd say ya don't need it.

GUYS AND GALS ... the exact weather forecast is that for the entire week with the exception to the day before we arrive and the day after we leave it will be ....
