Thanks for the info. I ordered the tablecloth today. Hope to post pics soon.
I am considering either a gathered end or a channel on a DIY tablecloth hammock (132"x90").
I already have several straps (Kammok,Atlas) and plenty of Amsteel & carabiners, so a channel works for...
How do you like the width? I'm about to make the leap from an ENO to one of these (if I can ever make up my mind on a color), mainly for the extra foot & a half in length I'll gain from it.
I've been looking at under quilts and weighing my options of converting a sleeping bag (hopefully) into a 3 season UQ versus buying a 3 season UQ from a reputable manufacturer in the vendor section. ...
That's how I do mine. I only use a 4" bury but it holds my large posterior off of the ground, lol

Only one I've found so far. No sound but it's pretty elementary once you master the brummel lock.
Just give yourself plenty of room for the bury.
I went with 4 inches...
I know it's going to be a "whatever floats your boat" kind of thing, but I guess I'm asking if it would be advisable to replace the loops on my hammock and TDS with dogbones?
Come on, somebody say...
This may be a silly question, but what exactly are the uses of Amsteel dogbones?
I am currently using continuous loops larksheaded to my hammock, with carabiners slipped through to attach to python...
Welcome from waaaaay up the road in Bridgeport!
If you try the hammock for a bit, play around with it and get your angles right, I promise you'll never go back. I love to camp but can't imagine...
I agree completely with the service. I've purchased twice in the last month and both items were shipped within 24-48 hours.
+1 on the adjustable ridgeline. I jut added one to my DN last weekend and it made setup a little quicker plus my hang was right on the money.
Man, I thought I had it bad!
Wonder how long he stayed that way? Lol

Eeeeeeeewwww!
Or this, lol
Used ours this weekend. I got a few "orders" from some folks to make them one. May be a lucrative business, just not sure who to send the royalties to!
I went with the permethrin treatment and usually a quick spray on my arms, face, etc with a good bug repellent. Works well for me in the South!
The Trading Post was nice too (sorry, inside joke)
I bought my rings at Tractor Supply. They are working well so far.
I have to disagree about the tarps not providing good coverage. I have weathered at least a few rainy nights in mine and never got a drop on me!
I love my ENO setup which includes Doublenest,...
I'm still using a bag, mainly because I'm too cheap to invest in a TQ. The same could be said about my UQ (or lack thereof) I usually either use a pad or something underneath.
My wife bought a 40...
I thought they were called "thread injectors" now? Lol
Quick question:
Has anyone used or considered attaching the top rail to the stand using eye bolts and shackles instead of shackles and rope? And if so how did it perform?
I tried to read through...
I just saw it on the shelf in the camping section at Wally World for $10 in a handy spray bottle. Looked like enough to do a few items.
I was curious if anyone had purchased the ENO Reactor and if it was a double or single nest? Any reviews on it, good or bad?
Just started a new thread. Hopefully it'll produce some results!
What are your suggestions? It has been suggested that using the top rail might be a little high in certain situations. Any suggestions?
sounds like it's time to start a new thread:
Tarp rigging for TurtleDogs
I was considering building a Turtledog stand for use on the occasional scouting trip, where we end up in large clearings with no trees. After reading most of the turtledog threads, I apparently did...
Excellent info. My wife and I, plus 2 of our good friends are planning this for late April. Thanks to your report I'm kinda leaning on going the Dog Hole route to Raven's Point due to it being our...
This is pretty much what I have chosen to do over whoopies. I am replacing my standard suspension with 6" loops and lighter carabiners. I already have the Python straps so I figured might as well use...
At first I didn't get what you meant about lengthening your hanging distance but I finally got it (some of us are a little slow down here in Bama). Are we talking about it being just a couple of feet...
This may be over my head. I'm not sure about mutilating my brand spanking new hammock just yet, lol.
Just finished your book by the way. My best friend gave it as a gift for Christmas. Excellent...
Keeping in mind that I'm not a little fella'
Anybody got a few suggestions on how to lighten the load on my double nest? I'm all ears!
