I think it does for most folks Patrick. You said you were tying the carrick bend version. That is the one that has been load tested and proven to work well.
I'd stick with it.

I think I know.........this thread started at about the same time as the first whoopie sling discussions. Slowbro's tutorial came a couple of weeks later and whoopie slings have been the hot topic...

I've been using these since nacra first brought them up last summer. I keep a couple on each pack, and have carried one in my coat pocket all winter. They do come in handy, and weigh nothing...
