Thanks for a good hike from my Lazyboy this...
First off, sorry you have to go through this, what a pain.
I would suggest two things. Yes the RR will sway, but maybe if you used a small diameter shockcord it would dampen or zero it out. I...
Why is it $60-$65 here and $70 - $75 on the website?
Hi Bill,
It's been a while for max weight discussion on the cf spreader bars. At one time 3 piece sets were only for under 180. Is that still holding true? I hope to be at 230 this summer and...
Hey Guys,
There is very little information on this Luxury Bridge. Can any of you tell me where I can read more? I think I fit the category, 6' 240#. I currently use a WBRR double layer that I...
Hi I would really like to make the for a hike this summer. Love the pole mod for ground use. Would you please show some shots of that?
Thanks
My favorite - Wilderness Logics 15* XXL Topquilt. It's long and wide, full of downey goodness.
My toy - A MSR Windburner. Super fast, but I also dig my old school Svea 123 I got as well.

The reason I like a quilt id the absolute versatility. I have a simple cinch bottom that I stuff the hole. instead of snaps I sewed on hair ribbons that I can tie closed. No cold metal on my legs.
At 2am I am going to stay put...and probably pray. I have thought about this from an electricians stance, and yes the straps being non-conductive offer some protection, normally. However lightning...
I tend to hang, lay, hang, lay, hang, lay, until I have it right. I also have the double layer RR. Because I want as flat a lay as possible (side sleeper) I also use a Nemo Cosmo pad. I blow it up...
The NEW spreaderbars are now in stock, please see below the email from Warbonnet the other day:
Hi David,
Yes, the new nesting spreader bars are now in stock. We haven't updated the product...
I'm ready. When is the new pole set due out? I'll take the stuff sack as well. Please make it big enough to put my tarp mod poles in as well. Oh, and snake skins. Oh and a stake bag. Heck, I'll...
Add in water shoes, new pack, a stove, a stove, a stove, and the titanium trinket of the week, convertible pants, new bag yadda yadda yadda and the wife looks at the box in the mail and says "now...
"The 10 oz was not fun to work with and found the walking foot didn't offer much help.
I ended up using the regular foot with the CS down. No feeding issues."
My wife gave me this tip. sandwich...
Sara can come from the dentist to star on your vids anytime, because well at the end of the day...she's cuter than you. Ha, great vid you two, entertaining and informative; what more can you want?
And just like an idiot light on a car...I would ignore it.
Put me down as another soldering gun guy, ground the tip to a point, cut on a board with a straight edge. Heats fast, cuts fast, welds the ends.
I can do it in my yard...then I forget. When one of you come up with a small set of flashcards (memory enhancers), send me a set.
Took the tip of my Weller gun to the grinder, put a pencil point end on it and it heats/cools fast. Put a wood board on the ironing board and a steel straight edge to cut against. Works great. ...
I love my Winter made with plans from RSBTR. Sil Nylon, packs into a Nalgene size sack. I have a Warbonnet Ridgerunner and the two fit each other perfectly.

You a pretty funny dude. Right turn Clyde...
Another vote for WBRR. If the RR is strung relatively taught it is a little tippy, but you adapt and get used to that. All you have to do to is shift your weight a little and you will be straight...
Either 5 piece or 6 piece, I love the idea of no short pole. Nesting please! Please email all RR purchasers so we know when this is available? Maybe in time for Christmas?
David
Can you clarify a bit more? I would like to hang in the Cloud Peak Wilderness area (at lower elevations of course) but don't want an issue with Rangers.
I went cheap. eBay

I come in at a dainty 6' 235#. Yeah, don't want to go thump in the night, so I'll be happy to let them take care of me. I have to say its an awesome hammock and this will have absolutely no affect...
I made the same tarp. Your work looks better than mine.139514139515139516
I did them myself. I took an old soldering gun, sharpened the end down to a point and used that. Worked great.
I didn't seal anything but the ridgeline
My take would be to make another so you have two. Your first works for relatively cool weather, now set yourself up a different temp. My first project was an underquilt, and I was not a sewer. It...
Finally I get to show off my tarp. I made the DIY Winter12 from Ripstop by the Roll. The poles for my pole mod came cheap off ebay, a single pole that I separated into two.

I love my DIY. If it's hot I pull the doors in, but I like knowing they are there in case a storm brews. If I hadn't bought this I would probably go with a Superfly. I got a WBRR from Brandon and...
larc68 how does yours work for you? Would you do it again? Would you make changes?
Did you get your Climashield? Mine just arrived from RipstopbytheYard. Highly recommend. Uber fast shipping, super prices.
FBG, what a great idea. A "Google Sheet' would be perfect. You could open it up for public viewing.
