I'd be interested in how the post office trips turns out as well.
Thanks for clearing that up. It's nice to learn something new every day or so.
I purchased one set from Whoopieslings, and the other one from Dutch. I see no real difference in either one.
I guess it all comes down to size. I use 6 foot whoopies in both my wife's and my ENO doublenests with no issues to date.
You wouldn't' have a picture of the item by chance.
Big thanks again to all those who do the planning. I think I might have convinced my wife to attend with me this year, possibly the little one as well. Can't wait for it all to get going now.
Had such a great time last year. Have to make sure to keep those dates open.
Looked like a good time was had by all.
Ok I going to be really lazy here and just ask. How much of a weight difference would there be With a diy Silnylon tarp of similar dimensions. I purchased some mismatched heavy nylon at walmart for a...
I read somewhere that it weighs 2#8oz. has to be lighter than the Walmart behemoth I have been toting. My question to those of you that have one. How small does it compress for packing purposes.
I have been on two separate hangs with two different sized tarps from Walmart. They work just fine for what they are. They will keep you dry. However they do take up some extra space.
Spent some time looking around while we were there. All the areas outside of the big cities look really tempting to me. I saw some talk on here about trail maintenance. I would certainly be able to...
Welcome to the party.
Welcome from limbo. Currently SW PA soon to be NC.
Not to hijack your thread, but I am looking for suggestions for a good area to relocate somewhere between Clayton and Durham. Preferable not city life I like some greenery and some trees would be...

Would this tarp give me good coverage for my ENO DN?
Looks great to me. I would not hesitate to hang out back in one. Just one more thing to add to my wish list.
Welcome from SW PA.
Welcome to the forum.
OK the results of my very non scientific test are in.
First up my Blue pad roll from WalMart. It is 6 foot 2 1/2 inches long 23 1/2 wide. It rolls up to a nice round tube 25 inches round and 23 1/2...
That is how packed it as well. I used it for years under my sleeping bag when I would be in a tent. I have been trying to streamline now that I have found Hammocking. The reflectix just seems so much...
I used it at the MAHHA two weeks ago. I think I heard it went down to 34. Worked well for me.
No matter how hard I try I can never get the trees to move.
Welcome to you from SW PA.
Now after seeing it, I am half tempted myself to give it a go.
Just received my order today. I can't believe how much lighter it is than what I had been using. They came through for me in a big way with my shipping deadline. All I can say with out any doubt is...
If your interested I could get the one up here for you.
Mine as well. I have been using it for everything as long as I can remember.
Sounds good I will need someone to show me around.
I tried the blue Mat from WalMart. Unless I have a different version it isn't all the easy pack. Plus I had a hard time keeping it where I wanted it. I switched to reflectix and have had better luck...
Nice sticker.
Until things get settled we will probably be staying with her sister. I believe it is on Valley Drive, off of Guy Road not far from 70.
I found one at a local WalMart up here.
Not sure but I have to stop by WalMart this afternoon. I will see if they have any up here.
Welcome from SW PA.
Looked like they had a great time. Next weekend I am taking my troop on a hike camp out. The first since I decided to start the hammock life. This will be the first time they see me hanging. I am...

Welcome from SW PA.
I can't do this weekend as it's my eldest sons prom. But if in the next few weeks if any of you stray close to that PA border I wouldn't mind meeting you.
Where and when would we be thinking such an event may take place? An idea of location and dates may help us drum up some more interest.
It's all good I found one never mind.
How unfair to name a beach Hammock beach and not be able to swing.
I would be interested in such a thing.
Thanks again Stu. Order arrived faster than I thought. I had time to swap out and test it before the MAHHA. It worked flawlessly for me. It made a great weekend that much better.
Thanks for the pics. I will send him copies and see if he is still in the market. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
I added whoopieslings and a ridgrline to mine now if I have the ridgeline set my bum doesn't drop as far and the dismount has been easier then it was originally.
Just my 2 cents if it helps.
