I'm sad I can't make this one [emoji853]
Hope it is a great trip for everyone!
I agree with hutzelbein on someone making a stand similar to the Hammeck stand. I was ready to buy one just as they were no longer available.
I will arrive Thursday and leave late afternoon Saturday. I plan to bring something to share Friday eve since I'll be gone Sat evening. I'm solo. See you all soon.
Paul,
I'm also open to wherever you decide. No big surprise that I am partial to a spot with fishing. I agree with KSC that we will have a good hang with great people.

I'm planning to attend barring some schedule problem. I had a great time last year fishing, hiking, and hanging out.
Pine gum & dirt will dirty 'em up. Plus they will smell like the piney woods [emoji16]
stryder,
What type of country woulda you like to see mountains or more desert/red rock?
Utah's geography is diverse and scenic.
Nice write-up and pics Paul!
KSC your cooking was tasty.
The next Ruby Hang will be on my calendar for sure.
Paul thanks for organizing this trip! What an amazing spot and the fishing was fabulous.
KSC your cooking was wonderful! Thanks for making a great trip even better.
Bacon, mahogany trees, star...
I'll be there early to mid afternoon tomorrow. Sadly my sister won't be able to make it.
See you soon
Thanks for all the road and campsite info.
KSC no pressure on another cake. Your cooking at the June gathering was too amazing not to mention.
Paul and other fishers, I'm thinking of buying another...
Thanks for the pictures and info on flies Paul.
Are there any group meals planned? Maybe KCS will make another amazing cake?
Is the dirt road in suitable for lower clearance cars? My sister drives...
I have Whoopie hook suspension and a set of Spiders. I like both and the Spiders work in shorter spans and are much less to fiddle with. The more I use the Spiders the more I like them over the...
Check out the Ruby Hang It is coming up in October near Elko NV. Paul of Arrowhead Equipment is the organizer. Fun people, hammocks and fishing - all good.
I am in for this one!
Paul do you recommend waders or ?
I don't know of any Utah groups. There are other UT hangers on this forum and last winter a few folks did a frozen hang. It would be fun to have a local hang.

Thanks for taking us along! Bad weather builds character & makes memories ❄️[emoji1417]
My sister and I will be there!!!
I plan to arrive Friday afternoon & my sister will roll in on Sat.
We will bring a fancy green salad for the pot luck. I don't seem to be able to paste that into...
Bugs that are tiny and bite? No we don't have those here in Utah, thank goodness.
Glad I saw this post. I have been looking at wood burning stoves and hadn't seen the Bushcooker till your post. Got to love Hammock Forums!
Does the Bushcooker come with the alcohol cup & heat shield?
Mine too.
There is defiantly a learning curve to using an under quilt. In addition to Shug's videos and reading info on HF the other thing that helped me was to have my other half lay in my hammock....
Looking to buy a used SP 700 ml pot to outfit my nephew with a light & durable cook set. Factory lid or an after market lid is great. He is 12 so a pot that is used & less $ is preferable to this...
Sadly that weekend doesn't work for me [emoji45] otherwise I'd be there
What would you sell the pack for with both hip belts?
Glad to hear it!
How was the hang? I couldn't go and I hope I can attend the next one.
Another +1 for Jacks R Better. I have a Hudson River, great TQ or UQ.
Wow, nice work ! I love that your mom took it for show & tell to her sewing group! Always good to make your mother proud.
Good times !
It is on my calendar. Not sure I have warm enough gear & plenty of time to figure that out.
I use a big, smooth nail to open things up. Then I use an old guitar string as the "fish" wire. Ask any guitar player or visit a guitar store for an old string. I think it's the B string that is just...
Sounds good [emoji106]
Yeah, no bugs at those temps!
I bought a Fronkey bug net from Dutch to go with my Dutch hammock. I really like it for keeping bugs out and keeping all my stuff in. Without the net I kick things out of the hammock especially in...
I'm planning to be there [emoji106]
I'll take the pot & lid
Yes, you are. Welcome!
Thanks for sharing! Wow!
Welcome from SLC!
Welcome back! Cool to see so many Utahns on here. I'm in SLC and would love to attend a Utah hang.
I used the ENO kit and the info from this http://theultimatehang.com/2013/10/hanging-a-hammock-indoors/
I think some folks use a trekking pole as the spreader bar.
I'm in. Woopie!!!
Love the cactus flowers! [emoji122]
