Rats, I signed up to bring chili for Saturday, but won't be able to make it after all.
Have fun everyone!
Hi all. Looks like I just might dust off the old Hammock and head on out for this. I was there a couple of years ago and had a great time.
I will make chili Saturday and will have a 12" Dutch oven...
Too soon to commit, but subscribing!
I think I might need a recliner (or two) in the family room. And I'm looking forward to the upcoming pdf. Thanks for taking the time to put it together and share.
Looks like I missed a good time. Hopefully we can try again soon.
I got scheduled to work and have a family dinner to attend, so I'm going to have to bail too. I'd possible, I might try to stop and check out people's setups.
Turns out my son has basketball games Saturday and Sunday, so at least he probably won't be there. Thanks for the offer though, Gallo.
An underquilt for my son might just do the trick. I'll be in touch. Thanks!
I'm still probably going to figure out last minute if I'll make it. I mentioned it to my son, and he wants to go, but I'm not sure if he's ready. Gotta see how cold it's going to get.
Group meals...
I was thinking about that orange for my son, but for the cost, I might just wait for Dutch to get some made up. :-)
Okay, it's on the calendar. Will have to get a little closer before really committing.
I really need to get out. :-)
Subscribing. How long of a trek in is it?
And the next shopping list is started...
I got mine yesterday and can't wait to try them out. They're only missing a cute name like grubs or larva.
It's coming up this weekend. Sounds like fun.
+1 for Clan Dutch
Wow, thanks for the great pics. I also can't wait to see the video.
Great vid. Thanks for taking us along.
Are you going to make an appearance at the winter camping symposium? A talk on studs vs. Chains on the unicycle maybe?
Looks like a great time again. Next year I'm there for sure. Someone pick a date so I can reserve it now.
Sounds like a great time. I'm sorry to have missed out. So, since I wasn't there, your chilli was the best, Neil?
I'm in! Thanks for the opportunity!
This. This is the right idea every time.
I guess I was looking for an enabler, but I guess I should pass on this one. Thanks for the advice. I should probably look for a portable one next anyway. ..
Thanks for the info and quick reply. Seller is asking $45. I'm on the fence.

Please help me out, HF gurus. Can you identify this machine and is it a model worth upsetting my wife over? ...
I believe the location is a state park, meaning that officially alcohol is frowned upon. That said, my snow peak mug was used for more than my coffee last year.

This is what I was thinking if. Kinda similar.
Looks like a neat idea. I would probably skip the fasteners too.
It reminds me of a prototype cuben tarp that was sold here a while back. I think it was Fractowl or someone. Sorry if I got your...
I recently saw that Derek Hansen wrote an article for Scouting Magazine about ten reasons you should hammock camp. That should get people curious.
Here's a scout weekend hang from a couple weeks ago on Pierce Lake at Rock Cut State Park.

And a better view of...
$20. [emoji41] I figured the extra presser feet were worth that. And the desk it's in isn't bad either.
Today I scored a second Kenmore 117-958 off of Craigslist. It's a honey. I may never touch my wife's Huskvarna again. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/09/13/7fa90078204720952a01c6d058731312.jpg
Sounds really cool. Is there good hanging there or near by?
I'm interested, but December is tough.
Pics or it isn't true.
Never mind. I saw it. I'll wait for the Ti version.
I had so much fun last year. The spousal unit didn't sound thrilled, but I need to work on it. Maybe if I can get her a bridge built by then we can get a sitter for the tiny guy.
My wife loves the Argon 1.6 so now I need to build a bridge. Are more in the works?
I think it is 1/2" rebar. It was all they had, but I'm open to other options.
I bought the supplies to build on of these too. I'm curious about the stakes. I bought 10' sections of rebar as that's all they had. Do they need to be 3' long? Sounds long, but I don't want to fall...
Thanks gang. I think I'll ditch the idea and just go straight.
I'm about to embark on a diy tarp journey. I plan on making a cat cut hex tarp per the directions at diy gear supply.
I was thinking of doing a slight cat cut to the ridgeline and I'm tryingb to...
Not really the place for this, but are Ti d- rings no longer available? Will they be back?
I did have the front cover off. I will try the alcohol/kerosene.
ErickSaint, what kind of needles are you using? I will need those too.
What about a kind of pole mod that would hold the sides out and then pull the bottom straight down to the ground?

Would that get you better coverage?
I picked up a Kenmore 117-959 in cabinet today at the thrift store for $27. The presser foot is stuck up though.
And the rubber drive wheel is flat spotted, but I have high hopes for it. I believe...
Well, I promised my son a bug net to go with his Christmas hammmock.
Maybe I can sneak enough Argon sil in for a tarp without the finance department noticing...
I'm in. Another example of why this forum is the best! Thank you.
Looks awesome, Papa. And I was thinking a white tablecloth would make a stealthy winter rig.
New colors look good. I wish that orange was available before I made my son a tablecloth hammock for christmas. Time to go check the change jar...
How does the ripstop feel compared to the...
