OK, so my fears about the 1/8" being too thick were well-founded. Luckily, I've got less-than-ideal (first attempt) 7/64" whoopie sling so I'll scrap that and use it for the loop.

I've already made some whoopie slings out of 1/8" Amsteel and am wondering if they will work with DW whoopie hooks? Or do I have to stick with 7/64"? I don't see an extra 1/64" being an issue, but...
