Ive seen it, and touch it iRokk, I now have tarp envy, its awesome!
Someone can correct me if im wrong, 12ft with your suspension at a 30° angle. That being said, whatever is comfortable for you is the right way!
I was nice, recieved a 20° top quilt FJ by UQ and a REI camp chair!
Invest in some tree straps, just using rope is bad for the trees (they're friends)! Im unfamiliar with Clarks suspension but maybe you could swap it out with some whoopie slings and toogles or dutch...

Welcome from the piney sandy woods of South Jersey, start revving up that PayPal account ! :D
I've used my Greylock 4 down to the teens last weekend with a reflextics pad in the footbox and my primaloft coat zipped around the foot end of the hammock, nice and toasty!
I'm also going to grab another site, for I may be having a coworker coming along...he's one of those t@$! guys! He wants to see what it's all about. We are also unsure about Friday, depends on when...
Welcome from South Jersey...it's nothing like Alaska;)
Shug gave me a good idea similar to your setup Ratdog, but we tie shock cord to the loops on each corner of the quilt and then tie a prusik knot to the suspension and adjust to your liking.
When I hiked in last week there was a boy scout troop there, they had fires going on in the rings...
Silversurfer...you are one whacked out man!:D:thumbup:
Welcome from NJ, get comfortable you'll be here awhile!
I would love to night hike in from Batso but I'll probably be well behind you guys, work on Friday is tough getting done by 5... Maybe I'll just call out!
Same here, but I did watch some of your other vids, Awesomeness! I've been wanting to come west since I was a kid, might plan a trip sept 2014.
Right on! Doesn't have to be overnight either, couple hours or even set it up for a quick nap. I've even set my trailor (I'm a truck driver) at 15° with my gear set up in the back during lunch...
Definitely do trial runs in the back yard, can't hurt.
We should be good with those 4 sites for 16 Silversurfer, we can always venture to the back of the campsites if needed.
Just got back from Mullica River campsite, 2-3 and 7-8 should accommodate is easily, actually all were good except #9... That one stinks!
My JRB Greylock 4 UQ is the bees knees!
Second would be my Dales Pale Ale stove given to me by silversurfer!
You guys and gals are quick; )
What's the general rule for degree rating and ounces of down?
I think they are the same thing, photos of both are identical, both made from pork parts and corn meal and fried in grease. I've been researching since I saw it in your video. Whatever it is, or...
Shug told me Liver mush is like a spicier Scrapple if you've ever tried that? That stuff will put hair on your palms!!!
Sure thing Karl
I can head to Lower Forge this Saturday and check it take some pics and video...
