Bravo!! Looks good.
Heres a quick stand i made to hang in the yard. I have plenty of woods too but none close. Too cow pasture lol....
I have one in silpoly. You will love it!
Yep Charlie is good people.
Maybe Charlie can chime in on lead times. I know he is getting busy. But he hired help and moved into a new space.
Awesome! I love my pole mod too. Been wanting to get me a DH thunderbird too
No scale
I am looking foward to some winter camping myself. My job cuts out everything from oct 1 to dec 15. So dec and jan i am going to hit it hard.
Yes stock ends. Poles used to be part of a hub style tent of some sort. I just hacked and cut till i had what worked. Sadly they only break down into two pieces and i couldnt get shock cord back...
Yes shock cord and nite ize sbiners. Poles were scavenged from a buddies garbage can during a move from KY to OR. I cut them to 54". Have since replaced ugly knoted cord on tie outs with zing it dog...
And in da woods!

Hey guys and gals,
I would like thank everyone who posts on this forum. I have learned a great deal since becoming a member here. I would like thank Charlie for making me a great tarp and a bug net...
I got a 12 ft with doors from him a while back. Coyote brown silpoly. I love it. That silpoly rocks.
Im running the stock webbing and buckles on my XLC. I like being able to hang in so many different places. But i just built my first set of whoopies for a 10.5 ft hyper d hammock a gernous member...
If you really want to disappear, brush it in like you would a hunting blind. Even a solid color will blend in when brushed in. Main goal is to break up the lines if the tarp. Especially the ridgeline.
There is one in the classifieds right now if you hurry
Also, the new guy, Charlie at Mountain Wilderness Gear makes a good tarp. Mines a 12 fter with doors. It also has the grogain around the edges. Based on what ive read you really cant go wrong with...
Good question. I made two CLs from zing it and 4 from amsteel the other day, my first ones. I done like the vids showed. Also made zing it soft shackles. Was a fun project. Wish I had more cordage...
I am in whitley county. About 30 min from Cumberland Falls. I would love to attend a group hang and see everyone's gear and how they set up. I am the only hanger I know of locally. I can't travel...
Just got my Storm Fly yesterday. Got it all fixed up with guy lines, crl, mountaingoat skins and it is a ver nice fly. Hopefully I can do a field test this weekend. Very good initial impression.
I will take it pending your decision.
And pecan, hickory and others will drop their nuts on your head in the fall. Lol that didn't sound right
I am with ya. I don't want to wish time away but the heat is rough on me, always has been. I sweat gallons during heavy physical exertion in the heat. I went out yesterday around 7 pm for and done a...
Sheltowee hammocks does the integrated UG
I need one of these so bad. Whenever you post a build along I will be all over it.
Nice job. Way to get motivated.
I would be interested in how this plays out. I am waiting on one of his tarps.
CRL from Dutch for me. Above the tarp.

I have one of these and love it.
Wouldn't be that hard to DIY. Finding a good telescoping pole would be the hardest part I would think.
I carry my pack with me every day, sort of a get home bag in case of emergency. I don't use compression to pack my UQ just stuff in the the bottom of the pack inside a nd garbage bag. I wonder if...
Fixing to do the same thing myself. Thanks guys.
I downloaded the hang calculator onto my iPhone and it has been really helpful. I've got a tarp coming with a 12ft ridgeline I too that I want to...
I have no experience with the frontline. And i have never went to ground with my xlc. But i really like my xlc and i believe i could go to ground with it but i would want to avoid that if possible....
Gotta get me hangle.
Yep, my wallet is getting lighter all the time too!
I'm in. Thanks!
I have the xlc DL multicam. The multicam is 1.9 and the layer is 1.1. I love it. But one of these days I want a sl to cut some weight. I splurged on a HG incubator and will never use a pad again.
I've tried every pillow in my house and jacket wadded up and still can't find one that's small and soft enough. Bought one of horse shoe pillows, to big under neck. My ahe cub is supposed to be here...
I use skins on my xlc. I like them. It's easier for me to get the hammock in the stuff sack with skins. No more wallowing the hammock in there.
I love our country because of the people, the land, and our heritage. We have fought for our place in the world and I am down right proud to be an American. Thanks to all and good luck with your new...
I finally got a chance to hang my xlc yesterday and try out the caribiner trick. It worked perfectly. Thanks everybody!!
Nicely done!
Dang it! I tore a hole in netting too today. Caught it on a piece a gear during set up. I am going to sew it up with thread. Maybe put some nail polish on the edges to keep it from fraying.
Very generous indeed. Count me in. That load bearing in multicam sounds awesome.
I would say it will be a balancing act for sure. I am going to try the caribiner idea out today.
Thanks levi. Will do
Maybe I will just make a shorter ridgeline. Of course that means more research lol. I do have 25 ft of amsteel handy.
I think i would like to shorten the ridgeline on my WBBB XLC. Ive noticed i am a lot more comfortable when the ridgeline has quite a bit of slack in it. But i dont like the netting sagging down....
I aint worried just excited lol
