I will be going to Yosemite in three days... I hope to see some snow!
Welcome! I am from Grand Rapids myself..... Military has me in SOCAL for the time being... wish I could be back in snowy Michigan!
It came!!! Three days late, but it is now here!!! 1.1 double BB and a tarp to cover it! So excited. :D:D
Sounds great! Thank you and happy holidays!
I am in! Merry Christmas!
Dutchgear has been great for me! I don't think I will go with anything else. Plus his customer service is top notch. Bought some stuff recently, and it was shipped within four hours. :D
I am in the same boat... Delivery should have happened yesterday... I have not seen a change in the tracking since it left CO on the 18th....
I know it is worth the wait!! Just so frustrating when you see "expected delivery date: Dec 20", and you get home with no delivery.... :(
So my package is shipped.... Unfortunately, USPS is behind. I came home excited to play with my new hammock, and found my mailbox empty. Looks like Monday..... :(
I just got my shipping notification!!!!! Now I hope it is here for Christmas.... :D:D:D
I would go with HammockGear. I have dealt with Adam, and he is willing to customize his quilts if you want. He does great work!
When did you place your order? Have they made it to the Saturday orders yet??
I know that I can control the amount of stress on the pullout. I am just concerned that it is being pulled in a direction it was not intended to be pulled. (I would hate to spend all that money on a...
I really want to pull the trigger on this mod, but I am wondering about the stress that it creates at the pullouts. Since the pullouts are being pulled up rather than out, has anyone seen any...
Unfortunately I waited until Saturday November 30 to place my order..... What was I thinking!!
.... and thanks, Shug for all your videos! You really helped me out!
Wow... Same here! I ended up with a 20* burrow, a Superfly, and a 1.1 double!
Brian
I went through the same question on my Burrow purchase last month. I went with the half taper, and would not look back. I like that there is a bit more material to ensure I am covered. (I move around...
I have a 40* Burrow, and I can say 100% is has a baffle. I love that quilt!
Brian
Thanks for the suggestions! I hope it lives up to everything I have been hearing! Now I am going to try and be optimistic that it will be here in time for my trip to Yosemite on the 26th of December!
Well I bit the bullet :D. I ended up going with a 1.1 double and a superfly. Now I have to wait... I could have easily gone with the 1.1 single, but I think for the same price, I have a bit more...
I am confident in the standard length BB, but I am still on the fence about a single 1.1 vs a double 1.1. I do like my things to last, and I do have a concern about the lifespan of a single layer...
Size wise, I am accustomed to an ENO DN. The BB is larger than that, so I think I would be comfortable. I love my DN, and have more than enough room. I just want to have an "upgrade", and pass my DN...
According to the Warbonnet website, the Blackbird is good for a person up to 6'8''. Am I reading that wrong?
Fellow hangers,
I am going to order a Blackbird this weekend. From all of you that have more knowledge then me, which one would you suggest and why?
I am 155-160 pounds, 5'11'' tall. I am...
I really want to hear about Dutchware and Hammockgear! I need to complete Christmas shopping!
I am just curious as to what everyone would do if you only had enough space to bring one piece of gear for your overnight hang. (Your hammock has already made it in your pack.....) Would you bring a...
Thanks everyone for the welcome and tips!
This is what I have so far-
ENO Doublenest
Continuous loop through the gathered end to a dutch hook to a whoopie sling to a tree strap.
If I were...
Good afternoon everyone! I just got home from work, and sat down to work on my hammock. I will be splicing away with the movie Hang Em High in the background. Sounds like a good afternoon to me!
