Thanks lazyboy for the help I actually gave up trying to use the slap straps and spent the cash on cinch buckles and polyester webbing. it might be a little heavier but its not that big of a deal.

hey welcome to the forums and if you have everything else I would probably get a black bird. But I personally use a modified eno and really like it but many feel differently.
ok so i understand why you would want to put a ridgeline on your hammock, but I like my hammock to be really flat wouldn't a ridgeline no matter what length is going to place some sag in the hammock.
