Ron, I haven't been there for a couple of weeks, but it was dry then. I was in Morgan Monroe State Forest last weekend and it was pretty dry there. I would plan on packing water in.

I am not able to attend the hang. I have an invite to go to Red River Gorge. It's hard to turn down the Gorge. Sorry for any inconvenience. I hope to meet everyone at the next hang.
Should be "selfie4life"
I avoid the Peninsula in warmer months. I don't think it will be very busy the weekend we are talking about. Last time I went to the peninsula, I kept heading south on the west side of it looking for...
Historical Average for that weekend are Low of 42 and High of 63. Of course that's Fahrenheit.....cause this is 'murica.

I'm not sleeping with Sauron.
I'm hoping to make it too.
Once the down tube is full, extra down will not add any or much insulation. As the down ages and wear out (from compressing and expanding), it looses some of its loft. The extra down just compensates...
I ordered the same UQ. It should be here tomorrow. I did get a tracking number. It's a little after midnight here and I still keep running the tracking number to see where it is. Like that makes it...

I just set the date for the hang with Indy Backpackers. It will be the second weekend in October.
I have the exact same setup. I love it. I can take things off or add depending on conditions. I.E. I don't always use the bug net or the tarp. I really like my ENO.
Way back in my ground dwelling days, I had one in my tent that I let burn overnight while sleeping. It's not too hot 3 or 4 inches above the top. I still use it with the hammock. I put it on the...
Conchita is the name of Juan Valdez's burro. I picked this for 2 reasons:
1. Most people say I pack too much weight (for them)
2. Burro, Mule, etc were already taken
Ron, We can hang in Indiana anytime. The trip we did was worth it I think.
I am one of the organizers for Indybackpackers. I am usually at most of the outings unless my wife has "more important" things for me. I will be glad to show you how to setup at any of the outings....
