Sorry I'm going to miss this year. I'll be out of the country.
(I hope the let me back in) The past two years HangCons

You-all...
Outstanding
I will probably arrive late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
After the hang I'm planning on bike camping along the rail trail so sometime Sunday or Monday morning
I will be looking for a...
Kale Kale: I have a double layer hammock and I have switched from using an underquilt, to foam pads. I tend to sleep in odd positions,
that seem to create cold spots no matter how I adjust the...
I'm going to try and make this and add in a few days bike camping on the Greenbrier Trail.
I've been to a bunch of hammock hangs, but this was my 1st Florida hang.
It was crazy impressive. Besides the level of organization, the people were just amazing.
Thanks to all who put this...
What a sad deal. My condolences and prayers to Keith's family and all who were touched by him.
I'm interested (SOF Kayak) It's my busy time at work, but we'll see. I'd be up for 2 nights to make it worth the drive.
If it's cold out I fill most of the double layer space with several pads.
Crazy Fast.
I e-mailed in an order yesterday afternoon
with following explicit instructions.
"There is no rush on this. There is nothing I absolutely need within the next month."
My order...
I will bring some trash bags also.

It makes me want to hike that trail this year.

have never seen the...
It never hurts to have something soft, placed under you
Oh-No's 2 hanging rules.
Never hang higher than you're willing to fall.
Never hang over anything you wouldn't mind landing on.
Oh,...
If you two need a Dr's note. I can create a couple.
Welcome. It's good to see another First Stater here.
I'm interested. I'll be paddling a kayak.
I'm going to try and make this.
It's about a 4 hr. trip for me.
I'm also interested in krshome's planned float trip.
To the crew that puts this together each year.
Great job, once again it was a fabulous weekend.
I'd join you. (It's also a Jersey Devil repellent)
Very nice Iafte, you've outdone yourself.
I should be able to make it.
Nice paddle trip. Thanks for sharing. Is that "lake's" water level purposely drawn down for the winter?
Good Picts. MML, Thanks for sharing.
Great the Vid., and sense of humor.
Thanks for sharing.
Seems funny now but I'm sure it wasn't at the moment. Not to worry, Jay S. is a great guy and I'm sure he understood.
Welcome from Smyrna, DE
Hey Rich, have a good time and be safe.
I'm looking forward to hiking the LT someday.
In my best Darth Vader voice: Impressive
That depends on your metabolism and comfort level.
As a cold sleeper, I might be OK at 60 degrees with a
1/4"CCF pad. It would also depend on what I have as
a top quilt.
Thanks for sharing. Great trail notes, gorgeous picts.
I'm glad you had a great time.
It's a great time. If there is snow, snofas (snow sofas) are constructed, fires made, stories told, lots of great food is eaten. Oh, and the newbe is fed to the Jersey Devil (you knew that was...
Thanks HC for organizing this.
Welcome, Yooper. Did a bunch of fishing in the U.P. years ago. Beautiful area.
Need to get back up there for some pasties. :-)
Wonderful Picts. Looks like you has a great time in spite of the heat.
Thanks HC, you're way ahead of the curve. :-)
I should be able to make this one.
I'm going to work on MQ (aka: Qpens, Bug Bait) to get his butt
to this one. After all he started the MAHHA hangs.
I haven't made a MAHHA hang at PGF, but I've heard lots
of positives and no negatives of concequence, so I
vote "go for it". I hope to make it this Spring.
Most tick larvae and many tick nymphs feed on small rodents. If you provide rodents treated nesting material, you end up killing an awful lot of tics thus knocking the local population way down.
I'm in, Thank you.
I'm in. Thanks.
Bummer, going to miss this year's winter hang.
But don't feel bad for me, I'll just be coming back
from a week of day hiking in Sedona AZ. with my wife.
I guess my Texas soup with bacon will...
+1. I also add a short piece of cotton string to the biner as an added water diverter.
Impressive!!! Well done.

I'm just glad hot water popped those pads loose or I may have had
to wait for the spring thaw. :scared:
I would never do something that foolish. ;)
I like Hang-Over. It rolls off the tongue a little easier
than Hang-Overs.
Great vid. thanks, Oh, and I love your choice
of background music.
I was thinking the same thing & got the basic recipe from him.
I'll never reveal his name. (black wolf)
Since you mentioned it first, I'll work on another dish.
Perhaps my Texas Soup with...
