The tadpole does not have the side pullouts and haven't been seam sealed but it does not need it. I used it at Boy Scout summer camp this year and it rained a monsoon one night and I never got wet.
Both Jacksrbetter quilts are 800 fill down and are only about 6 months old. The under quilt is the newer 56 inch long one. No overstuff on the Jacksrbetter quilts but I didn't think they needed it...

How's November 13th,14th and 15th work for everybody?
After reading more about the ca ground in McKee Ky I have come to the conclusion that it's not going to work out for what we are wanting to do. Looks like Red River gorge is going to be the best bet....
I was looking at this place but have not went and checked it out yet.
I am ok with hiking to camp but was thinking of a finding a location where we could camp with in walking distance of cars and do some hiking also. First reason would be so it could be family friendly...
Ok I was thinking November? Now does anyone have any suggestions of where to go? Do we want showers and bathrooms or backwoods no faculties?
Is anyone planning a fall or winter hang? If not does anyone want to?
I do like this forum a lot and have learned a lot but lately it seems like some of the moderator are trigger happy about closing discussions, deleting discussions and or deleting entire topics. I...
Took me about 10 minutes the first time I slept in a hammock and I think that was all in my head from reading post about people not being able to sleep. Now I sleep better in a hammock than I do my...
It has both a solid cover for colder weather and a bug net. And yes you can Ip it all the way up.
My son is getting my blackbird and superfly tarp. Now I have to get me a new tarp. Still trying to decide if I want another superfly or a UGQ winter dream.
My new hammock is on its way to me!! Can't wait to try it out.
I usually in the Daniel Boone Nationl forest so there a always a place to hang as long as the forest service has not roped it off due to so many ground dwellers impacting the area to much or a bunch...
If I am ordering something's from a cottage vendor I have no problem paying up front. Most cottage vendors make stuff custom just the way you want it. Look at it this way would you want to stop...
Great looking hammocks. Can't wait to get mine and test it out #2050!
I don't think my quilts are ready for negative 40. The coldest we got out camping last year was 10 and that was good enough.
It's about 88 here today with 80 percent humidity stick and hot. I am also a mechanic that works in a non air conditioned building so maybe I just get tired of it faster than others but I am ready...
Personally I don't think you can have just one tarp. If cost is not a issue I would have several more than I do now. I like my Wilderness Logics Tadpole for warmer weather and then switch to the...
I searched and looked to see if anyone has built one using metal for the legs? Could you just flatten out the ends of your pieces so you could bolt them to a hinge? Maybe have someone weld up a...
My wife thinks I am crazy but I can't wait for some cold weather to go do some hanging in the snow.
I am in.
One of my few hammock stories is just a couple of weeks old. Myself and three other leaders took 32 scouts to scout camp and had a great time and some great weather till the last night...
Ridge line orginizer and a set of led part lights from Dutch.
I understand your pain. My son is now wanting to hammock camp and he took my warbonnet hammock so I had to order a new dream hammock. ( At least that is what I told the wife). Now he needs a under...
Can't wait to see mine in one of your videos.
Just ordered some 1.1oz silnylon, ams everything else I need to make at least one end. I think I will hang my tarp and make them out of paper first like shug suggested.
I will take the Leighlo under quilt per pm.
Can you tell me more about the leighlo under quilt?
I live in Lexington, Ky and also feel your pain about it being soggy. Welcome to the forum and be sure to check out some of the great videos that users have posted. I learned a lot from them.
I am wanting to make doors or a couple of beaks for my tadpole tarp. Has anyone made some for a tadpole? I am trying to figure out how much material I need and what to make them out of.
If I decide I need more pull outs I will just sew them on.
I pretty much just followed Shug's tarp video about the continouos ridge line. I used two small carabiners from Dutch and used a prusik on both ends to attach the tarp to the ridge line. I used a...
So last week I was at scout camp as a assistant scout master helping take care of the 32 boys from our troop that went. Slept under my tadpole the entire week. But on Thursday night we had a severe...
The one night it stormed I had to keep unzipping my net and reach out to make my hammock quit swinging so much.
We had 375 people at scout camp for week 1 including leaders. We had a great time other than the one scout that got homesick everynite but by Friday he said that he wanted to come back next year.
Our camp doesn't say anything about the hammocks. They sale some cheap hammocks in the trading post. There was about 30 hammocks through out camp.
Took 32 scouts to summer camp and slept in a hammock every night. It was much cooler than the old canvas tents and didn't have to worry about the bugs because of my Dutch bug net. Didn't...
I try to only buy one hammock a month. But then I have to have more stuff from Futch for them and maybe a new under quilt or tarp or stove.
